At the Forced Eviction after the War, the Number sunk under 100,000 Members. Today they are counting 62,000 Members. 85,000 of 38.5 million polish People are Protestants.

Reformation ideas first spread in royal prussia and great-poland. But the King Sigismund I. was a strict catholic and aggravated the diffusion of the edicts. In 1535 the first country gentleman Albrecht spread the reformation. 1548 King Sigismund II. decided to be open for religious freedom, so many aristocrats changed their minds and confessed to the protestantism. Communities of Socinians and Arians developed. Between 1575 and 1795 King Sigismund III. and King Stephan Bathory promoted the against reformation. A law in 1717 restricted the religious freedom. In year 1717 many evangelics get executed. 1730 and 1734 more laws passed. As King Stanislaw II get to the throne in 1764 there were more efforts to get equal rights for protestants and roman catholics. After the first World War (1919-1939), the evangelics get independent in poland. Lutherans from russia and austria built seperate churchs. So in year 1920 the Evangelical Lutheran Church had 4000 members who spoke mostly german. 1923 the 17 Churches formed the Uniathe Evangelical Church in Poland with about 30,000 members in Kattowice. In year 1920 there were about 400,000 protestants in Poland, thats about 1.3% of the polish population.
