This Waltz song was very important in The Great Gatsby because of the reference that Fitzgerald intended the song to have. This song was played at one of Gatsby's parties in which Nick, Tom, and Daisy are discussing how they think Gatsby received his wealth. Nick is also hoping that Gatsby will meet a new girl so that he will be able to get rid of the thoughts and desires that he has of Daisy. Some important lyrics of the song are "Why does everything have to happen to me? I say I'm blue and I'm lonesome, people, My heart is filled with mystery." This song quote gives us a good description of how Gatsby is feeling when he sees Daisy around Tom. This song halted the reader get a better understanding of the obsession that Jay Gatsby had over Daisy.

This is a new R&B song that has been released not long ago. I can relate this song to Three O'clock in the Morning by Paul Whiteman because of the lyrics and the meaning behind the song. "So call out my name. Call out my name when I miss you so gently. I want you to stay even though you don't want me.". These lyrics describe how Gatsby is feeling when he sees Daisy. He misses the relationship that he used to have with Daisy. These lyrics show that he want the girl to remember him and the good memories that they had. T=This song perfectly describes Gatsby and Daisy.

This is a very popular Jazz song that F. Scott Fitzgerald included in his novel The Great Gatsby. Fitzgerald uses this song in his novel by referencing how Jordan and Nick are driving through New York and how Jordan was explaining to Nick how Gatsby and Daisy used to date, and also how Gatsby moved all the way out to New York just so he could be close to Daisy. Important lyrics in this song include "I'm the Sheik of Araby. Your love belongs to me. A night when you're asleep into your tent I'll creep--". These lyrics show the reader homework Gatsby truly feels about Daisy: he will do anything for Daisy because he not only loves her but he is obsessed with her. This song reference in the book describes to the reader how Gatsby feels about Daisy and what he is willing to do for her.

This R&B song by The Weeknd is a perfect representation of the situation F. Scott Fitzgerald made in his novel The Great Gatsby. In this song, he is describing how he will do anything for the girl and he wants to show her how much he appreciates her. "The distance is the the time between us, It will never change my mind cause baby i would die for you.". These lyrics show the listener the exact feeling the Gatsby has for Daisy by explaining how he is always gonna be close no matter the distance between them. He also explains how no matter what happens he will always do anything for her. This describes Gatsby's situation almost directly because he is always going to want to do anything for Daisy

This song is in the Foxtrot genre, a popular type of music during the time period that Fitzgerald wrote The Great Gatsby. Fitzgerald referenced to this song because he made Gatsby tell Kilpsinger play this song on the piano. This song was played the first time that Daisy went to Gatsby's house. Some important lyrics from this song include " One things sure and nothing's surer. The rich get richer and the poor get-- children". As Kilpsinger is playing this song on piano, Nick takes a glance over at Gatsby, and he finds him with a grin on his face from ear to ear. The shows to the reader how Gatsby truly feels about Daisy and how he shows his emotions when he's around or with her. This song is able to show the main theme of materialism which was implemented throughout the whole novel.

This R&B song by Post Malone perfectly describes the situation made by Fitzgerald where he uses Ain't We Got Fun in The Great Gatsby. The emotions expressed by him are very similar to the emotions of Gatsby. "She told me that I'm not enough, yeah. And she left me with a broken heart, yeah. She fooled me twice and it's all my fault, yeah. She cut too deep, now she left me scarred, yeah.". These lyrics describe the pain that Gatsby is going through because of Daisy. He is very hurt because he is not able to be with Daisy because she is married to Tom Buchanan. This truly hurts him and causes him to feel exactly like the lyrics in Malone's song.
