volunteer in military training units and a Red Cross division was established at the University.

"I have always wanted to be a nurse. This calling lead me to volunteer to help with the patients.  I worked in the sick room and quickly fell in love with a sick male patient. One night we had our first and final kiss despite a warning not to.  A day later my throat was sore and my head hurt as did as my heart...my patient died.  Three days later, on my birthday, I succumbed to Spanish influenza.

-We followed the rules (masks, avoid public, quarantine) but it wasn't enough for Dot. 
-I'm glad to be alive. Working through my emotions currently
-Before I was a busy bee, going to class, sorority meetings, and knitting club, but the flu set me back.

They don’t have any idea what they’re doing, and they’ve probably been making up these rules just to give us something to do, like those bird masks during the plague.  They’re telling us that FEAR is a cause.  Give me a break!

 It’s concerning that my classes are so thinly populated.  Professors are cancelling class due to illness.  Will my school year be ruined?  I am trying to go through my day like normal, but I can’t find normal when I look for it.  My clubs never meet, my friends are scared to get together, and the stickball club has disbanded.x

Pre flu we have a strict refuting and post flu we don't have class, can't leave campus, and thrown in with the sick SATC making us conform to the dietary restrictions 

Personally not sure what tomorrow brings, our structure and routine have been thrown out the window but we gotFREE FOOTBALL TICKETS

a.     We already gave up so much of civilian life by serving our country and now our freedom is even more limited!

a.     We were ordered to stay quarantined to campus and wear a mask; however, we rebelled and are now in jail for disobeying orders. 
4.     What did/ does your daily routine look like both pre and post influenza?
a.     Before the flu it was very regimented; and our current routine is isolation in jail and eating a lot of sugary food.  
5.     How has the influenza affected us personally?
a.     We are pretty upset with our two airmen friends that brought the influenza back and we look forward to getting to take a shower after this jail adventure.
