Although binge watching your favorite shows is always fun, it can be harmful on your health. According to The Harvard Gazette, the more t.v. we watch, the fatter we get. When you are eating a bag of chips and watching t.v., you tend to experience a phenomena called "food amnesia.' You become completely unaware as to how much you are eating and pretty soon you reach the end of the bag. Children are gold mines in the eyes on marketers. They tend to market towards children and exploit them to unhealthy food options.

The truth is portion sizes have increased and the consumption of sugary drinks has also increased. A lot of people also believe the only thing that causes unwanted fat is sugar, so they replace sugar with carbohydrates. In reality carbs are just as bad as sugar. They contain processed starches that cause weight gain.

Exercising can make you feel happier, increase energy levels, reduce risks of chronic diseases and the most obvious; it can help you lose weight. Mayo Clinic recommends that you people should do about 30 minutes of physical activity in a day. 300 minutes a week or 5 hours can guarantee weight loss. Although exercising does allow for weight loss, exercising is not all about weight loss. It is also important to note that exercising can increase muscle loss which means you will metabolize food faster.

Did you know junk food is not only linked with obesity, but also linked with causing cancer. Fast foods contain many preservatives, fat fueled, many restaurants are unsanitary, and is loaded with chemicals and salt. In 2008, a study was conducted and found that 93 percent of kids' meals at 13 different fast food restaurants had more than 430 calories which is about 1/3 of the daily recommended amount. Although most of the time. fast food can be considered unhealthy, in some cases fast food is not all that bad for you. Fresher and more high quality ingredients lead to better tasting food. Restaurants such as Chipotle are using ingredients such as humanely raised pork and hormone- free sour cream in their meals.
