(2-3 sources) SITUATE your investigation of the complexities of the issue. Present why this issue/problem is worth investigating, and begin to focus this issue within the framework of your specific lens.

Make clear the significance of your lens focus in relation to the broader context/issue.

Many problems like sanitation and safety can all be traced down to how land is used within a city. By exploring innovative and traditional ways to utilize land, a city can better its environmental sustainability and the communities within it

Densely populated cities in the past have two sides to them. They may promise greater economic output, at the expense of greater emissions and disease. Source 2 goes over Kolkata, India's compact city model and concludes that in its case, the model leads to worse living conditions. However, it mentions that with proper implementation, it could work well.

Kowloon City goes to another extreme in sources 5,6. The city grows like a living organism and expands without bounds.

There can be many ways to approach these densely populated cities, but further research will be needed to determine a proper solution in land use
