THE BIG challenge is a contest of English that was organized on the initiative of a group of English teachers for the first time in France Tuesday, may 18, 1999. Its main objective is to promote English learning through edutainment activity. It is for all students in the schools of Europe. The competition takes place around the date of May 13. It is a questionnaire with 54 multiple-choice questions. For each class the questionnaire includes the learning of the year according to the definition of national education and the European framework of reference for languages. 54 questions are questions of vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and general culture, civilization. There are four possible answers for each question. The aim is to check the box of the correct answer. For each of the 4 levels of three classifications are classes: national, departmental and University. Each student receives a certificate and a gift of qualification.
