Certifications like LEED, BREEAM, Green do not consider the concept that community preservation, environmental regeneration, and culture. Instead, these certifications take on a permissive sustainability approach that grants the operations of businesses to operate despite their contribution to gentrification, homelessness, and displacement of communities.
