         <description><![CDATA[<div>In Louisiana there was a act called Separate Car Act. This required separate railway cars for blacks and whites. In 1872, Homer Plessy  agreed to join the test to challenge this Act. Then, New Orleans residents who sought to repeal the Act, asked Plessy to sit in the ''white only'' car. Later, they asked him to moved he refused and was arrested.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This cased allowed segregation to become a law in the u.s but it also caused many to argue that the constitution was "color blind"  they disagreed with the courts decision and thought all citizens should have equal access. They said that this violated their 14 amendment.</div>]]></description>
