It is usually a private, activity but some people prefer to pray with others. Prayer happens at many events including: church, funerals, weddings and celebrations including Easter. Prayer can be done in many different ways, some people close their eyes and pray silently at any time but other prefer to kneel and say the prayer loudly. Usually it is done in the evening, around dinner tables or at times of importance. A prayer can be anything, usually they are a few words or sentences about what the individual hopes will happen, they usually begin with "Dear God" and end with "Amen." Prayer is designed to bring you closer to God and is a spiritual practice that is recommended.
