Meanwhile, LEGO and Games Club saw students tackle some tricky LEGO Technic builds and get their brains working with logic board games. A great start to both clubs, with plenty of opportunities to experiment, think creatively and learn together!

There are lots of events to look forward to in the future, including the House Colour Photography Competition and the Benchball Competition for 6^th form so keep your eyes peeled.  However, it is also always worth remembering that you earn House points through achievement points in classes and also through turning up to House events to support your friends too.

The Chase also has run this half term for year 8!

I am delighted to say that Moody House tied with Sancho House for the win, with both teams getting DOUBLE Mr Chalmer's chaser score! Well done to all of the year 8s (and Mr Chalmers as our mystery chaser!) who got involved.

But that wasn’t all… we had some brave volunteers who were wrapped up as real-life mummies! So, if you’re thinking of signing up for mummification yourself one day - look no further than the experts at Ancient Worlds Club — our budding embalmers did a fantastic job!

Next week we’ll be putting our knowledge to the test with a brand-new ancient board game, and we have just 5 spaces remaining in the club. The photo is from the first game against Holy Trinity but there have been a number of other boys involved across the three fixtures. Our next match is against The Gatwick school followed by our round 1 county cup match against Blatchington Mill.

Under-14 Boys’ Football – Excellent Start to the Season

The Under-14 boys’ football team have made an outstanding start to the season, winning all three of their opening fixtures. This included a comprehensive 11–0 victory against The Gatwick School, followed by further impressive wins against Ifield Community College and The Holy Trinity School. These results put the boys joint top of their district league as they head into half term. Well done to everyone involved, and we look forward to seeing how the team progresses after the break!

Despite the challenging conditions and wet weather, all students showed fantastic determination, resilience and commitment, delivering some superb performances. Particular congratulations go to Oakley Plumb, who finished 17th in his race, Yasmin and Farah El Emam, who achieved excellent 5th and 7th-place finishes respectively, and Lewis Shaw Oyefesobi, who secured an impressive 15th place.

We are incredibly proud of all students for their hard work, positive attitudes and efforts in representing the school so brilliantly. Well done to everyone involved!

On what was an incredibly windy day, the girls showed up and braved the weather to battle it out.  Both teams fought hard to get a goal in but despite everyone’s best efforts, full time ended 0-0.  Due to the competition, it was time for extra time.  Savannah Patel scored a superb goal from outside the box to get us

1-0   up.  Then came the second half of extra time, where Orleans Park came back with a bang, equalising.  With five minutes left, the girls needed to find a goal from somewhere or face penalties.  The girls worked tirelessly to get that final goal and Emily Imhoff managed to provide, making it 2-1 at the end of extra time.  A superb football game to watch and even more importantly, the U13’s are now through to the third round of the cup where they will face Gildredge House.  Good luck!
