Every day, this limits their ability to take the appropriate steps towards becoming stakeholders and urgently engaging with high power policy makers towards justice. Because of that, youth-led orgamizations, such as Fridays for Future, Youth Climate Movement, the Frontline of Climate Justice Campaign, and countless more are working to become part of the discussion to do whatever it takes to reduce these damaging emissions released into our atmosphere. Research shows that it is not only high-end policy makers, but those who are facing the problem head on who have the conviction to demand for a fossil free world, to demand for alternatives to harmful greenhouse gases, and to stop the expansion of the systems that led us to our destructed environment. This work is important to me because I plan on working in a youth-dominated environment, and it is important to recognize how groups such as youth activists and frontline communities are leaders that are going to be making the most change. And if we do this work, we can gather more of those who are passionate to actively contribute to the current climate action framework and help build a green future because change must be mobilized from the grassroots, not just from the top.
