I had always wanted to visit South Korea and last year I had the chance to spend a week in this amazing country. South Korea is a welcoming and hospitable country. It is an interesting place with a unique culture and a highly developing economy. My tour itinerary began on Seoul’s main boulevard, Sejongro, because I wanted to see the Royal Palace, the President’s residence, known as Cheongwadae or the Blue House, and the American Embassy. From here it’s a fairly short walk to Bukchon where there is the city’s largest collection of privately owned traditional wooden houses. It’s a charm with beautiful architecture and small courtyards, with the houses interspersed with quaint cafes and art galleries. Shopping in the Orient is an amazing experience so I made sure to pay a visit to the Shinsegae downtown department store. This huge emporium sells probably everything you can imagine and is a complete charm in the way the bottom floors sell all the basic staples of daily life - including  kimchee . But, if you are going to shop in Seoul, it’s a must to visit the street stalls and hawkers of the Namdaemum Market where the wares seem to be spread out in a blanket of never-ending stalls. One of the most surprising sights and a rue delight is the Cheonggyecheon Stream. With a flying visit to Itaewon, the popular ex-pat neighborhood near to the main US army base, my time in Seoul came to an end. I was enthralled and captivated and hope I get to return one day.

Perhaps it's because of everything that this city has to offer, and the long-lasting feelings of satisfaction you get after wandering in almost every corner of the streets, that you will want to go back again and enjoy a couple more days there. When  I arrived at this beautiful city located in the mountainous area, I felt at peace. Me and my family visited a flower field, the sky was vast, the scenery was breath-taking, and the smell of the flowers was fragrant, yet sweet and vibrant. We spent the whole morning there just to take pictures and appreciate the flowers. In the afternoon, the air got misty and the temperature dropped a bit. We left the flower field and decided to visit the central of Da Lat city, where you could sense excitement and the bustling feels. My dad wanted to get souvenirs, so we visited some vintage style stores and got some very unique goods. In the evening, we all felt quite tired, so we spent time chilling in a small restaurant, reading books, enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the holiday. We rested a bit more at the hotel and then went out at night. The night market was filled with people and all types of goods. You could get some wool products like scarfs or beanie, they were all very cheap and the quality was acceptable. I got myself a very beautiful hand-knitted cardigan, my mother bought many scarfs while my father and brother just wanting to eat something.
In the end, we all felt very satisfied about our trip in Da Lat. It was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. It took us about 6 hours to get from Hanoi to Sa Pa. Although sitting in a car for hours just to get to that place didn't sound very fun at first but it was all worth it in the end. The moment I set foot inside the town, I could feel chills under my spine from the cold air. We went there during the winter too so the weather was abnormally cold, unlike anything I have ever felt before. We rested for a bit in our hotel room before making our way downtown. I didn't mind having to walk at all because getting to know all about Sa Pa and the people who live in itn was all a part of the experience, and I took a lot of interest in learning new things. Sa Pa was very different from where I lived mainly because it was a tourists attraction. A lot of people from other ethnic minorities were there, especially children because many of them had to sell souvenirs and food to tourists for money to support their family. Then we visited the mountainside. No words could ever described the absolutely breathtaking scenery from up there. All the things I thought I could only see on TV were there infront of my own eyes. From the seemingly endless forests to the marvelous view of the waterfallm, not to mention the beautifully constructed terraced rice fields. When we get back to the hotel, we of course went out to eat. The local cuisines were also an icing on top of the cake, as all of the food were incredibly delicious. The satisfaction of eating something warm and hot after spending hours in the cold weather was unforgetable. We got a lot of souvenirs from the night market that day as well. All and all, my family and I were all very happy with how the trip turned out. It still upset me that we didn't get to see any snow though. We traveled by car, and when I got quite nearby, I was able to see how big and beautiful the sea was. The weather was so wonderful that I wanted to run straight to the sea, enjoying the fresh air and the clear blue water. There are lots of people there bathing, sunbathing, playing beach volleyball, and even having kids building sand castles and flying kites. The seafood here is very fresh, the processing is also very diverse. I also went to Vinpearl Land, Long Son Pagoda. Those places are awesome. What's more fun is that my parents showed me how the fishermen here fish. We stayed in Nha Trang for a week and the last day, I went to souvenir shops near the beach to buy gifts for my grandparents and friends. This is such a wonderful experience. I hope to visit Nha Trang again and again.
