I absolutely hate pollution. I hate seeing so much trash around me and just everywhere in general. Humans are destroying our environment and other animals environment. I get that plastic is very cheap and accessible, but that does not mean we can just throw it everywhere and kill the earth. If people actually had respect for the earth we would at least try and recycle instead of just not caring at all. Oceans have tons of trash in them, and sometimes even oil. It seems that people don't even pay attention to what they are doing to the planet and themselves. We live in this world and were killing it and we should be making it a place where humans can enjoy themselves not suffer.

The Different Types Of Pollution

There are many different types of pollution. The types are land pollution, water pollution, air pollution, noise pollution, and light pollution. Land pollution is mostly made from house garbage and industrial waste. A little over half of the waste is gathered in landfills. Only about 34% is recycled or composted. Water pollution is when chemicals or dangerous substances go into the water, including chemicals, sewage, pesticides and fertilizers from agricultural runoff, or metals like lead or mercury. Water pollution is also when trash gets into the water and this can kill a lot of animals. Air pollution is when something that does not go in the air is in the air. An example of this is particles of burning fuels going into the air. Noise pollution is when the sound coming from planes, industry or other sources reaches high and harmful levels. This can cause stress related illnesses. And, last but not least light pollution. Light pollution is the presence of man-made and artificial light in the night environment.

How Humans Can Help Reduce Pollution

Well as we all know humans are the main cause for pollution. Even though a lot of people contribute to pollution, you don't have to! Here are some things you can do to help with reducing pollution. You can start with walking or riding to wherever you need to be instead of driving. This helps because cars and other vehicles produce gases that can really hurt the air and environment. The second thing you can do is saving energy. You can do this by simply remembering to turn off a light or TV before you leave the room or area you were in. This does not only save money on your electricity bill, it also reduces emissions from coal-fired electricity plants. And, lastly you can use environmentally friendly cleaning products. You should do this because there are a lot of harsh chemicals in cleaning products that can get into rivers or other types of bodies of water, witch can really damage the environment. Those were only a few things you can do to help reduce pollution.

What Are The Main Causes Of Pollution

Some of the main causes pollution are industrial emissions, poor disposal of wastes, mining, deforestation, use of fossil fuels and agricultural activities. Now I will tell you what they all mean. Industrial emission means, " Gas-borne pollutants discharged into the atmosphere from smokestacks of industrial plants.". Poor disposal of wastes means that instead of recycling or composting people will just throw there waste away. Mining means, "the process or industry of obtaining coal or other minerals from a mine.". Deforestation means, "the action of clearing a wide area of trees.". Fossil fuels are, "a natural fuel such as coal or gas, formed in the geological past from the remains of living organisms.". And, lastly agriculture means, "the science or practice of farming, including cultivation of the soil for the growing of crops and the rearing of animals to provide food, wool, and other products.".

My opinions are mostly the same, but now I have more facts. So instead of writing the same thing I'm going to write about what I learned. I learned about all the different types of pollution. I learned how humans can help reduce pollution. And, finally I learned what the main causes of pollution are. I still think that humans are destroying the earth, and that we are using too much plastic. So overall I have learned a lot over the past few weeks, and over time I would like to learn more about pollution.
