         <description><![CDATA[<p>The chickenpox's is a disease caused by the virus, varicella-zoster. Catching it causes an itchy rash to spread all throughout your body. This virus is highly contagious, it is said that there is a 90% chance of you catching it if you are around someone who has it and are not vaccinated for it.</p><p><br></p><p>Additionally, individuals who have had chickenpox's are now susceptible for getting shingles. After getting the virus the first time it remains dormant in your nervous system until it reactivates again causing shingles. </p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Diagnosis</strong>: When going to the hospital, they will perform blood tests or a tissue study to determine if you have the virus. Since you already have the virus you can not get rid of it, it will remain in you system for the rest of you life. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Treatments</strong>: Some treatments you can do to relieve the itching are using calamine lotion or a cool bath with a little bit of baking soda added in.  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The best way to prevent this condition is by getting the chicken pox vaccine before you are exposed to the virus. It is recommended to get 2 doses of this vaccine to further protect yourself. </p><p><br></p><p>Since the virus is highly contagious, you most practice good hygiene by washing you hands frequently. You also should stay away from people who you suspect to have the condition. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In this figure it illustrates that after someone is infected the virus hides in their nervous cells until it reactivates again. The red line represents instances where you body can active the virus throughout your lifetime, due to your environment and so on. The gray dotted line represents the minimum immunity you need to have against the virus. As you get older you lose you immunity against the virus. This causes you to be under the gray line, allowing the virus to reactivate in you. To prevent this from happening you have to take multiple doses of the vaccine so you immunity stays above the gray line. </p>]]></description>
