The Giver had turned the speaker ON and notified to notify  Jonas's family unit which he would be staying overnight. 

Jonas kept talking in shock that he had just saw that. From that The Giver suggested to eat then he would talk about a "plan". Jonas had no clue what he had meant by plan. The Giver continued and said the lifestyle has been like this for a while and hadn't changed. The Giver had said that all the memories needed the be shared. 

It was late at night and they were both talking till late night about the plan. Talking about if someone would see them and of all the lies they would say incase of an emergency.

Jonas had left his dwelling at night taking some leftover food from the community and his father's bike, though Jonas had also took Gabriel. Jonas was now biking from each dwelling trying to get to Elsewhere. He would wake up gabe and feed him and then he would go back to sleep and peddle even more.

They were search planes that would come and go. The search planes can identify someone from the warmth of their bodies so when Jonas would hear the planes he would think and transmit the memories of snow to Gabe so they wouldn't get spotted.

Jonas was starting to feel tired now and his legs would feel numb from biking. Though Gabriel yelled out "Plane Plane"but Jonas didn't hear or see one. They had seen an animal, a bird.

Jonas couldn't see it but he could feel it that he was close to Elsewhere. Him and Gabriel were freezing but they had saw snow. Jonas was trying to be positive to Gabriel though no response from him, he could tell he was very tired. Jonas was walking up the hill. When he approached almost towards the top he had remembered his family, his friends and The Giver. He hugged Gabriel while he close to the top while he is losing consciousness.
