An conference happens every year talking about current political and economic events. They never talk about the climate or environmental sustainability which was one big issue that will be changed.
In this period of geopolitical and social turmoil, it is a mistake to allow health to slip, and not only because it is a crucial moment in the battle for climate change management. Environmental degradation and natural resource insecurity are impacted by our inability to solve some of the largest global problems we face.
Environmental insecurity is a major contributor, while often underestimated, to global instability.

The term "Geopolitics" was created by Rudolf Kjellen. He was a swedish political scientist who studies analysis of the geographic influences on world relations. During the twentieth century his material  was used to spread throughout europe during the world wars. Later on it came to a world wide usage later. During this latter time  geopolitics was widely animated as another word for international politics. Debates and arguments in this context particularly about the effects of geography on climate, topography, arable land and sea access. These debates had been going on since, last recorded the ancient greek era and were prominent in the writing of famous philosophers. The most commonly known geopolitical writing were made in the late 19th century and early 20th, which revolved around the impact  on world politics and new technology of the new industrial revolution. Writers mixed analysis with policy advocacy and prejudices during that era.  Geopoliticians understood how the new industrial capabilities of transportation, communication, destruction, steamships, airplanes, telegraphy, and explosives—interacting with the geographical features of the Earth would shape the character.

The Battle of Plassey, also known as the Plassey Plunder, was a very important battle in the history of our nation, and it is also related to geopolitics. This is because the Plassey Plunder resulted in a very bad situation for the people of Plassey. They were left with almost no resources to themselves, after all of it was looted by the British East India Company. And any town without resources cannot flourish or develop. This war is also very significant as it officially marked the establishment of the British to India.

The Battle of Buxar:-
Another very significant battle in India’s history is the Battle of Buxar. This battle occurred when Mir Qasim, the ruler of Bengal, had united with the nawab of Awadh and Shah Alam II, who was the Mughal ruler at the time. The three of these rulers were beaten by the British, though, and this battle’s significance is noticeable now. Since they won this battle, they were able to conquer Bengal entirely. Bengal was India’s main tradepost, and because they had control of Bengal, they had control of trade going in and out of Bengal. Since the British controlled trade, they controlled India’s resources and could easily interact with Britain. 

Clive’s Dual System:-
Clive’s Dual System was a major blow to the people who lived in the area where this was being implemented. This is because the system involved two separate rulers, each ruling in its own way, on the same land. The official ruler of the land would be able to make decisions for the welfare of their land, but would not have the money to carry out these decisions.  This is because the money was going to the British. And the British would be unable, or wouldn’t want to, give money to the official ruler or make official decisions because they are not in the position to. This heavily impacted the people as they had no one to go to based on their requests for improving their society. This is an example of geopolitics because this system heavily impacted the wellbeing of the people around.

One example of Geography and politics interconnecting is the Jammu and Kashmir and China border.
  • One of the main reasons for the current dispute on the Jammu Kashmir border is that the terrain is shifting
  • The moving and melting snow makes the actual line of control hard to keep track of
  • This leads to both countries claiming land that actually might not be their own
