The ottomans had the biggest impact on both world history and global trade. They were one of the largest empires having in it's power the Balkan peninsula, Anatolian, part of Arabian peninsula, and northern Asia. Because of their great location they controlled trade routes between the European and Asia, such as the silk road. Since everything from the silk road was given to the ottomans, they taxed Europeans for the goods. The Europeans then started to look for new trade routes by sea to get to Asia. The ottomans also showed how colonizing was a success which also led to the Europeans wanting to search and colonize. Because of them the europeans then started to search new places which then led to the age of exploration, and the discovery of the Americas.

Mostly schools, churches, and the government are responsible for protecting culture. Schools teach you about different cultures, it's usually sugarcoated and not in depth but they give us the gist of it. Churches spread religion that rooted from European, Indian, and African cultures and if those religions are still being taught today, then the culture is still being spread and protected. The government has discrimination laws that stop people from ostracizing others because of their culture, religion, or skin color. In my opinion thats defending the culture and differences between people.

The most successful at diffusing their culture was probably the Ottomans. The Ottomans surrounded the Med Sea which allowed for great trade. Through trading, many cultures spread ideologies, religions, and culture. The least successful would have been China. Instead of opening themselves to trade, they closed the country from outsiders and regulated trade heavily. Due to that they missed out on the age of exploration, and didn't diffuse their culture at all.

Schools teaches different Religion, Also how people lived in the past. The government enforces laws to keep people from fighting on cultural beliefs. Churches just teach us about one religion. All of these institutions are protecting culture by not having other people make fun of other cultures, by teaching and spreading cultures to other people so they don't die out. Also churches teach us to be better humans, and to keep traditions going.
