Hello, let me introduce myself, my name is Putri Jupia Ningrum. I'm originally from Lampung, but I now live in Jakarta. I'll tell you about a monument I used to visit in Jakarta, namely Monas. The National Monument, or better known as Monas, is a monument of pride for the Indonesian nation located in the center of Medan Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta. This monument was built to commemorate the struggle of the Indonesian people in gaining independence from Dutch colonialism. Inside the Monas building, visitors can find various facilities such as the National History Museum located at the bottom of Monas, this museum displays dioramas that tell the history of Indonesia from prehistoric times to the New Order era. There is also an Independence Room. This room is inside the monument's cup, this room stores symbols of statehood and independence of the Republic of Indonesia, including the original text of the Proclamation of Independence. There is also a Puncak courtyard: Here, visitors can take an elevator to the top of Monas to enjoy views of the city of Jakarta from a height of 115 (one hundred and fifteen) meters. Monas entrance fees vary depending on the area they want to visit and the category of visitors. Parking in the national park or outside the Monas area is only 5,000 rupiah. The museum, the cup platform, and the summit are 3,000-24,000 rupiah. When visiting Monas, I recommend wearing comfortable shoes due to its expansive area, drinking water, an umbrella or hat for the hot sun, and money.
