In this respect, I plan to raise awareness on the theme by conducting trainings and studies so that there will be concrete studies on the issues I have mentioned in the projects to be carried out in schools. Although innovation is a versatile field, I think it will gain importance with the use of technology integration and web 2.0 tools. The eTwenning theme is Innovation and Education we as ambassadors can use different approaches to improve student outcomes from a purely academic standpoint as well as to develop those soft skills that students need to succeed in life, What I mean is to connect eTwenning projects activities with everyday life .

Students will be able to solve problems, make decisions and think out of the box. We can also introduce more and more technology that students will need to be comfortable with overtime By using for example project based learning: Help students identify a real-world problem and develop a solution for it. In eTwenning projects we Introduce a lesson as part of a larger lesson where students can exercise their creative thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration with other students.

Education and innovation by using technology I think when we as ambassadors believe on students and their abilities, when we give them a chance to express their ideas and feelings what they like and what they prefer we are building a creative generation and model citizens for the future like for example using Video projects our students are digital natives. They are also video creators. Whether they are on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, or Snap we can be sure that students know their way around video. Leverage their passion by bringing video into their projects. Assign projects for student collaborators to create a video around specific topics. Not only will they exercise their creativity, but they’ll also sharpen their communication skills as they work together.

I am currently focusing on a project about well being at school, trying to make students reflect on their current situation with their partners from other countries. Well, in my opinion one of the example Innovation should be focused on, is social inclusion; I mean create within the school a sort of Ideas Factory where students can compare each other, in a relaxed and no-anxiety zone, contributing to develop the well-being atmosphere. If we really want to get the students in the centre, we have to consider their right to self-define as human beings and to encourage them in claiming their priorities and needs.

I imagine this idea well embedded with the need for a school to be connected with local organization.. Too much often schools seem to be gapped from the real working world and students just want to get them together, trying not to waste their time. That is my goal: use resources coming from local organizations and offer to the students questions to not answers

I think all of promoted exaples are very important, but to me the most exciting area this year is the well-being within schools. There is a lot of talk about the mental and social well-being of students and teachers, but according to my experience schools fail to consciously plan the methods and activities that can facilitate this.
I consider it to useful to draw the school management's attention to the tools and methods that influence the well-being of the enire of institution.
I think this requires new approach and thinking together, not only the use of new methods and applications wich often remain isolated in many schools.
I would like to draw attention to the importance of involving of students in the learning process and the importance of outcome-based learning and formative assessment methods on institutional level.
Of course eTwinnig project are excellent tools for teh implementation of this goals, so I wolud like to promote eTwinning program on the webinars and in the eTwinnign community (groups), also in social media and on workshops for teachers, local communities.

I started to teach English at primary school this year. I noticed that pupils were often overwrought and they quikly lost concentration during lessons. They were accustomed to traditional teaching methods. I decided to involve them through phisical activities aimed at learning English, improving self control and ability to relate to others. I always plan my lessons by cooperative learning, total physical response and outdoor activities. I try to involve them physically, as they need to move and hardly stay still at their desk in the classroom. Every time I enter the classroom I spend some minute asking them how they feel today. They feel that I'm really interested in their well-being and feel free to talk and share their experiences and thoughts. I get their attention, and the atmosphere in the classroom became warm and collaborative. I found very useful combine active teaching methods, active listening and emphaty. Other colleagues found my teaching innovating and asked me to help them to adopt some method and tools in their classrooms.

About Social innovation within a school we, as a school, involve the all students in any sort of project as we believe the inclusion is at the basis of any good methodology. The teachers adapt the activities to the level of the students and their capacities.

With regards to the promotion of the eTwinning Annual theme, as I teach in a Technical High School (Computer Science, Chemistry, Electronics And Mechatronics), I would focus on some aspects of innovation and education already embedded in the school activities and relevant to the students’ needs.

A technical high school prepares students, the innovators of the future, to enter a highly competitive job market and plays a key role in providing educational resources, know-how, and support for student orientation.

In this perspective, it would be of great importance carrying activities in collaboration with local bodies and organizations, and innovative companies in the technological fields, that can offer students new opportunities for learning and experience. I would suggest organizing company visits, workshops, work-based learning and service learning projects to empower students and make them aware of future career paths.

Another significant action would be helping students to develop critical thinking and express their own opinions, to speak in public, to imagine and take control of their own future. A tool that can help this process can be the Debate, for example, even carried out in foreign languages, organizing school debate competitions inside and outside the school. As an instructional method, debating involves students in expressing their opinions from two competing perspectives with the goal of contradicting each other's arguments.

As students are fond of new technologies and AI, it would be interesting to explore the Ethical guidelines related to artificial intelligence and the use of data, to improve their digital education.

Finally, in order to promote the mental and emotional well-being in schools for both students and teachers, their suggestions could be collected, through surveys and polls, to better know their priorities and needs and support them, to build stronger school community connections. In this could be of help even the expertise of psychologists and pedagogists.

By promoting and embedding the annual theme into our activities we can help raise awareness and engage the eTwinning community in a meaningful way.

First of all, we need to familiarize ourselves with every year's annual theme. We need to make sure we understand the theme and its relevance to eTwinning, so that we can support other teachers. Studying information about the annual theme, participating in the dedicated group and exploring resources and examples of activities around the theme is a good way to start.

Then, we should lead by example. We ourselves need to consider how we can incorporate the annual theme into our eTwinning projects and activities. We could start by brainstorming ideas together with other ambassadors or/and our partners and then selecting the ones that align best with the theme.

It is also very important to showcase good practices both on the eTwinning platform and other social media channels, so that we help raise awareness of the annual theme and inspire others to get involved.

More specifically, when it comes to this year’s theme, I would try to make clear to fellow teachers that Innovation doesn’t have to be something that has never been applied before by anyone; instead, small changes in our teaching style and methods are considered “Innovative” in our own teaching context. This is how I would promote the annual theme: Innovation and Education .

I will use it in my 2023- 2024 Etwinning project as it is connected to teen health and sports. Thus to the theme of well-being.
The issue of how we can help educate our pupils through the use of new technologies and innovatice/ creative/ different activities.

This project will also be an ERASMUS pupil mobility which will be promoted on ESEP platform (etwinning part), in loical newspapers and on my school's website.

Two colleagues of mine will be involved (a history and geography teacher and a psychological support member/ counseling member. Here are my tips to promote and embed the annual theme in my eTwinning activities as an ambassador:

- Foster the professional development of teachers encouraging their participation in the ESEP training courses and in the Erasmus+ KA1 opportunities.

- Present creative digital tools (padlet, genially, wordwall, mentimeter…) to encourage eTwinning activities based on brainstorming and sharing of ideas.

- Help to create new learning environments, exploring the metaverse as a communicative opportunity to cooperate in a virtual, immersive and interactive world.

- Encourage the Socratic method through transnational Debate, Forum and Chat sessions.

- Organize workshops that favour the engagement of students and teachers, focusing on active citizenship themes.

- Strengthen collaboration with the local community through project activities for the common well-being.

- Focus on education programmes of business simulation.

All the above mentioned elements could find practical application in the building of school gardens in the partners countries, through an eTwinning project. A dedicated area could be identified with the help of the local authorities. Families could help the teachers and the students to build it. Seeds from the different partner countries could be exchanged and products could be sold on the local markets. Business in Action… a project of green economy related to work-linked training in which students could effectively run a business. This is my idea of innovation: The implementation of a new way of schooling, a competency-based approach which underlines the importance and relevance of the link among formal, creative and lab-based learning.
So that, according to the eTwinning Vison, "the young people in their care are nurtured to become better people, better learners, better and more active citizens".

The annual theme is innovation & Education and in our school we are implementing the KA2 Erasmus project called Grinned - Green Innovation in Education and our students and teachers are working on the SDGs of 2030 Agenda. Two month ago we started the project with the 1st project meeting in Dusseldorf, Germany and we worked on the Goal 12 Responsible Production and Consumption and we all used the same template Netflix Presentation and now there are 4 students and 1 teacher in Germany working on the same goal. The annual theme "Innovation and education" could be the topic of the 2023 Kindergarten Day in Slovakia. This day is organized every year in Slovakia on November 4.
On this day, we could organize a workshop! for colleagues from elementary school and kindergarten.
I remember a similar event, "eTwinning tea".
I would like to dedicate the meeting to experiences and questions:

– if you have started working on your first project, you can present your intention, your questions

- if you are thinking about entering the world of etwinning, you can be inspired by the ideas of your colleagues

- if you have already completed an interesting project, you can share your experience and tips

As an ambassador, I intend to explore the anual theme – Innovation and Education – in the following areas of activity:

- Social innovation within a school: promoting the Junior eTwinning Academy, which gives students a voice, in schools on Madeira Island, encouraging the active participation of young people in school activities

- Pedagogical Innovation: Increase the number of eTwinning projects in schools on the island of Madeira and their dissemination outside schools, enabling students to develop their public speaking skills and give their opinion. Participation in eTwinning projects ends up leading to pedagogical practices of active learning, capable of providing students with the development of foreign language and digital skills, as well as critical thinking, to express themselves/communicate.

- Engaging: Encourage the development of projects related to Computational Thinking and robotics (Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence) in teaching and learning, promoting participation in projects promoted by the Regional Directorate of Education of Madeira.

Pedagogical innovation is the core of the eTwinning mission, that's why as Ambassador I have to promote the annual theme 2023 "Innovation in Education" in my school, in my community and eventually in specific training/events for principal, teachers, stakeholders... using social network, meetings..
Nowadays innovation doesn't means only to use new tools or new approaches linked with the ICT world, but it means to change the idea of education in a more humanistic and social prospectives. Of course to know better the importance and how the Artificial Intelligence (AI) works or how to deal with the Virtual Reality can contribute to grow up students more skilled and able to face the big challenges of our societies, but is not enough. Whitout mental and well-being, creativity, critical thinking, social innovation... our students can't develop their competencies, their talents very useful also for the labour market.
Therefore I would like to:
- enhance a learner centred and competencies-based teaching
- improve critical thinking, public speaking
- promote collaboration with local organizations and outdoor activities
- less strict curricola lessons and more flexibility the daily teaching and learning routines
- give more voices to the needs of our students.
That's why is important to build up a new pedagogical vision and mission in our school, throughout a deep colloboration between all the actors of the school. The Ambassador can be an effective communicator and motivator.

As a first goal of my action plan, I thought to foster in my school a Team of Teachers, trained and enthusiastic, who can be the core of pedagogical innovation.
We'll start building the team and than, as a second goal, we'll involve a larger group of colleague newcomers, to create together, step by step, almost three new eTwinning projects.
After that, as a third goal, I want to involve some more teachers, without any experience of eTwinning, from almost two other upper secondary school .
My fourth goal will be to create an eTwinning project, for some small group of students and not more than one or two partners, training them and their international mates, to become group leaders, boosting their communicative and organizational skills.
In this way, I hope to introduce some pedagogical innovations and to integrate them in everyday class work.

“Innovation and Education”, the annual topic, express two key words that mean that curricula should be flexible enough in order to give space for creativity and innovation. I would suggest reducing the weight of strict curricula and give space and time to the teachers to express their creativity . Be more flexible about the basic contents that any student must be accomplishing and let more space for schools, teachers and students to decide the most relevant contents in relation to their specific and unique characteristics. As an Ambassador, I promote Etwinning in my team work but I also lead some projects. And that's take time. I think that it is the most important. You share what you like and what you believe in. I am dedicated to promote Etwinning platform because I strongly believe in it. When I share my experience with my colleagues, I am able to give them tips and materials to start by themself.
This is my goal for next year. I want to create materials that can be used by the colleagues to register, to start their project (with an example off my projects), to be able to manipulate the platform easily.
Innovation and Education is equivalent to Etwinning mission. Collaborate to realize tasks and steps of a project is a key competence for our learners. It gives them social skills. Moreover, tasks can be done corroboratively and remain creative because students can express what they think and create other models.
ICT tools evolute everyday and we need to teach the students how to use them to work not only for fun and recreative activities.
Collaboration needs to be taught at first. Students lives in digital environment but do not know sometimes how to use them to be efficient in what they have to do.

I truly believe that we should not lose the connection between Innovation and Education and both should be built equally.
As a Technology and Computing teacher, I emphasize coding aspects but I always try to connect with formal learning of some other subject, no matter if it is my subject or not. In this way I encourage other teachers to try new methods.
Sharing digital resources within interdisciplinary activities seems like a great idea to me and is very enriching for everyone (students and teachers). There are so many ways to make connections!

Being an eTwinning Ambassador in the local school for me means giving meaning to learning through international collaborations ,assisting new eTwinners ,giving them advice and coordinating with the headmaster to make all project that rules between my school and other school partners be a success . Since I am already doing this course at the end of 2023, I will now write how we as a school contributed to the annual theme. The connection between Innovation and Education is strong and it´s necessary both built equally.

Paradoxically, the epidemic has led to an increase in ICT skills among teachers. Those who were previously reluctant to work with computers for some reason have been, as it were, forced to master these skills. Hopefully to the benefit of the pupils. As an eTwinning ambassador, I encourage teachers to use these skills by their own example. Good eTwinning emissaries are pupils who ask other teachers to use ICT tools similar to those I use in their lessons. I encourage projects that involve a variety of subjects and require the use of modern tools.

As an ambassador, we can see what elements of modern technology and teaching methods can be applied to different subjects. Of course, introducing new ideas may require training for teachers. It is worth organising workshops where teachers learn how to use modern educational tools and how to integrate them into their lessons. Allow students to develop specific practical skills, such as programming, creating multimedia presentations or designing graphics. This will make them better prepared for the demands of the modern world.

The theme in 2024 is also wellbeing, which we have been focusing on in our school for the past few months. I have integrated it into our project "Eight doors of intelligence"

As an eTwinning ambassador, I always seek to be informed about the annual theme, to first participate in training courses, to document myself and then at the beginning of each school year to fund or participate together with students and European partners in projects with this theme. In July 2023, I attended a course in Poland that promoted the theme of the year 2024 - Well-being at school. We were encouraged to form teams of teachers from different countries and create an eTwinning project to run in September, at the beginning of the new school year. It was a pleasant and constructive experience!

The annual theme is something I try to incorporate in all of my classes and my projects by encouraging my students to take the lead, listening to them, to their concerns and offering some support and a different perspective (that of an adult). I believe innovation stems from willingness to step outside your comfort zone, grow and not be afraid to make mistakes. Education AND innovation revolve around emotions, being given a voice so you can make a change. I encourage my students to innovate, to come up with crazy ideas and sometimes this happens on the spot. But education without well-being does not work so this is what I would like to focus on.

Some of you know I love technology a lot but I believe human connection, growth should never take a backseat. We use AI, various tools, but the most important one is the human imagination, our capacity for innovation, for creativity, IF we are relaxed and focused and IF we have a hand to hold.

Well being is an important topic for both teachers and students especially after the pandemic which led us to our limits of sanity. We are planning Erasmus+ courses abroad for our teachers and have just been granted money to do so. Well being is one of our 5 major goals within the next 3 years. I think the annual theme - basic skills for life - is part of every eTwinning project. Though, to get students and teachers involved in maths, literacy, science and citizenship needs creativity and what's most important: students and teachers should be a team and focus on topics which matter to them together. In 2026 the annual theme is "Skills for Life". The theme is linked with the key competeneces. As ambassador the first thing I can do is to give visibility to the annual Theme using the eTwinning social networks of my region as well as from my professional social networks. This way all the eTwinning followers in my region can have update information about it. I can also organize online workshops through the eTwinning group I created to share information and ideas about the annual theme. I can also share the latest updates of my NA or the ESEP in this group of the the social media.

This school year theme is easy to embed in our curriculum, so I could share ideas of activities and actions to carry on the theme in the projects and in the day a day work of teachers working in eTwinning. I could do so using presentations, videos or infographies to help teachers to understand and develp the theme in their projects.

As an eTwinning ambassador, I could connect the theme “Skills for life” with everyday classroom work by encouraging activities that help pupils develop communication, teamwork, digital skills, problem solving and responsible citizenship. I could focus on simple project ideas across subjects, support colleagues with practical examples and give pupils an active role so the theme becomes sustainable part of school life.

In 2025-2026 the annual theme is "Skills for Life". I believe the annual theme offers us a powerful opportunity to go beyond traditional teaching and truly support the holistic development of our students. It is not just about delivering content, but about helping learners become critical thinkers, digitally competent, scientifically curious, mathematically confident, and actively engaged citizens. To promote the annual theme, I think we can create or promote global, collaborative projects that integrate all five key competences in a meaningful way. These projects can combine literacy, mathematics, and science by engaging students in interpreting information across multiple formats, applying reasoning to real-world problems, and exploring phenomena through inquiry-based learning. At the same time, digital competence can be developed transversally, ensuring students use technology in a critical, safe, and responsible way. Alongside this, citizenship education can be embedded by encouraging active participation, critical thinking about society, and respect for diversity. We can participate in different projects and involve novice eTwinners , mentoring them and supporting their first steps in well-organized and carefully planned collaborations. By guiding them through the process, sharing strategies, and working together, we help build their confidence and ensure a positive initial experience with eTwinning.

At the same time, it is important to actively disseminate the projects we create. We can inspire more teachers to adopt innovative approaches and encourage them to work with their students in new, engaging ways through eTwinning. Finally, we can have an active participation in eTwinning group events related to this theme and share best practices with other educators. As eTwinning ambassadors, we are in a unique position to lead this transformation and make a real difference in our educational communities.

As an eTwinning ambassador, I promote the annual theme “Skills for Life” by integrating it into everyday teaching and showing colleagues how it supports communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and digital skills.

In my school, I introduce the theme through short sessions and workshops with practical project ideas that are easy to apply.

I support teachers in designing small eTwinning projects where students develop these skills through real collaboration with international partners, while ensuring inclusive approaches for all learners, including SEN students.

Beyond my school, I share good practices and connect teachers across my region and Finland to encourage wider collaboration. Later in the year, I organize a webinar focused on the theme “Skills for Life” to deepen understanding, share experiences, and highlight successful project examples.

The annual theme for 2026 is "Skills for life". These are competences that students will need beyond the school, and which should shape all the project design in the school. As an ambassador I need to help my colleagues understand that aspects like communication, teamwork, digital literacy, creativity, problem solving or glogal citizenship are competences that fit within their subjects and curriculums. Therefore, all areas need to be involved.

Ambassadors can organise and lead workshops, projects sessions, and ready to use templates in order to help teachers to design activities where student apply these skills.

As examples of specific actions that can be carried out are: initial theme workshop to show teachers how specifically skills for life connect to their curriculum (for example, oral communication in English, critical thinking in science or maths, and digital creativity in Arts). In addition, we can organise a Project Lab in order to help teachers to design projects where students apply real-life skills (for example throughout interviews, surveys, digital products or teamwork).
