  • Mrs. Dalloway is set over the course of one day in London.


    • On a June morning Clarissa Dalloway leaves her home to purchase flowers for the party she has planned for the evening.


    • During the day, she goes through twisted sentiments and memories


    • Septimus Smith is another important character, we know his thoughts and feelings (which are similar to Mrs Dalloway's) as well as his past.


    • Smith is a traumatized veteran who is experiencing shell shock and PTSD from the events of World War I.


    • At the end Mrs Dalloway accepts herself and Septimus commits suicide.
