Invention : Hygienic Hook

Purpose : To avoid touching surfaces like door handles, keypads, doorbells, lift buttons, cashpoints or chip and pin machines as it provides protection from catching COVID-19 and any other illness that can be passed on easily by touching public property.

How it can be beneficial in our campus : This invention will help us as a university student to maintaining our protection from getting Covid-19  by accidentally touching public property in UITM such as lift button, soap dispenser in toilet, door handles, refrigerator handles and many more. The most important thing this hook can be buy by the students with a cheap price or even if we want to design it, it is not cost an arm and a leg for this invention.

2. Invention : Infrared automatic sanitizer dispenser

Purpose : To avoid any stem infectious disease transmission by public touch and help conserve the amount of sanitizer used.

How it can be beneficial in our campus : Student or even uitm staff can use public sanitizer dispenser without worrying any disease transmission by sanitizer and we can still maintaining our hand always clean all the time. The chamber works by using sensors that will detect when a person has stepped in and will automatically spray disinfectant over the entire body. This inspiration came from China where similar methods have been used to quickly disinfect locals.

This disinfectant chamber is the first for Penang and was thought up by John Ooh Sin Hwa who is the secretary-general of The Penang Rural Industry Entrepreneur Organization. This device was introduced to the public on 1st April 2020 and placed at the Balik Pulau Market due to the market’s high foot traffic.
