         <title>Southern Plantation economy used slaves </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The south had plantations that grew cash crops. These included cotton and tobacco they were grown by slaves. </p><p><br/></p><p>The  north did not grow cash crops. It did not have plantations. It did not need slaves. Slavery was abolished in the early 1800's. </p>]]></description>
