This book is the second one to the first Hunger Games book, which I have read. I really enjoyed reading it because it had a lot of character conflicts in it, and these conflicts had to be solved by the character. This book takes place on a small island off of Japan. Setting - A town far ahead in the future-there are many differences that this town has then the present world.  

Conflict - Jonas is given a special task and he must complete it.  He finds out terrible things about the town he is living in and must restore balance and safety to this town.

- I really empathized Jonas because he has to live in a terrible world where so many things are wrong and different.  For example, one thing that is different for him is that he cannot live with his grandparents, and he doesn't even know if he has any!  This shows that he has a hard life and I empathize him for this.

- I wonder how this story would have gone if Jonas's town wasn't so secure and limited. I also can see this book being mirror for me because in the beginning of the book, Katniss (protagonist) has to take care of her family and help out a lot around her house.
