This is particularly crucial in online shopping, where trying on garments beforehand is not possible. Accurate size charts help minimize returns and exchanges, enhancing customer satisfaction and saving both time and resources for retailers and consumers.

Size charts are used by customers to compare their own body measurements with those listed in the chart. Retailers and manufacturers also rely on these charts to maintain consistency in sizing across their product lines. In fashion design and garment production, size charts are essential tools that contribute to the efficient and precise creation of clothing items that fit well.

A product catalog is a type of marketing collateral that lists essential product details that help buyers make a purchase decision.

These details include:

Product features: is a specific function or characteristic that enhances your product's value. For example, a jacket with water-resistant material.

Descriptions for clothes:

• tight-fitting

• baggy

• casual

• formal

• colourful

• plain

• tasteful

• unfashionable

Dimensions: The label states characteristic dimensions of the product. (For example: jeans label stating inner leg length of the jeans in centimetres or inches (not inner leg measurement of the intended wearer).)

Price: varies depending on the type of store. Could be accesible or expensive.

Weight: how heavy or light a fabric is.

Availability: the status of a product indicating whether it is in stock and ready for purchase or use.

Color: is an essential element in fashion design. It can evoke emotions, set the tone for a collection, and even influence the overall look and feel of a design. As a fashion designer, understanding the power of colour is crucial for creating an impactful and evocative collection.

Customer reviews: an evaluation of a product or service made by someone who has purchased and used, or had experience with, a product or service.

This assignment broadened my knowledge, as this tool is new to me. Nowadays we make extensive use of technology for workplace, school, and even university presentations, and Padlet has definitely been very helpful in offering new presentation options. It is quite user‑friendly.

As students and future teachers, we must always be willing to improve in every aspect and constantly update ourselves with tools that make our daily tasks and professional lives easier. In this way, we can also help others by sharing our knowledge.

Another key advantage of in-store shopping is the immediacy of the purchase, customers can leave with their selected items without waiting for delivery. Many stores also offer flexible payment methods and clear return or exchange policies, which enhance the overall shopping experience. For those who appreciate the tactile and social aspects of shopping, visiting a clothing store remains an enjoyable and effective way to fulfill fashion needs. Ultimately, the variety, customer service, and tangible experience contribute to making in-person shopping a practical and satisfying option.

Lately, I have had many medical appointments due to my pregnancy. I’ve had to shop online because I wasn’t able to go to the stores. I’ve spent a lot of time at home with my older son, and I’ve taken the opportunity to organize some pending things around the house. I was able to complete my professional internship, and I’m about to finish the remaining courses so I can graduate soon.
