My topic of plants is an interesting one. Teaching children about nature will help them understand the world and their place in it more. The topic of nature also encourages multimodal learning. It is almost impossible to learn about nature solely through a textbook. Nature requires more. I believe this topic opens perfectly with the subject of New Literacies and multimodal learning.
