         <description><![CDATA[<p>Germany noticed that France's defense around its northern part, and the Ardennes was not very well fortified.  So they moved swiftly around the Ardennes and reached France's northern coast in just 10 days!  France surrendered.  This helped Germany and Russia become closer allied and support each other on the difference fronts.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Miracle at Dunkirk</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Allied Forces were pushed all the way to beaches on Dunkirk by Germany.  By a miracle, 850 ships arrived and escorted the troops away from the Nazi forces.  This helped boost morale because the only troops who knew what to do would have died.  But now the allied forces still had a slim chance of hope.</p>]]></description>

         <title>The Battle of Britain</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This was a new technology that could sense the detection of German soldiers way before any humans could.  This gave the British fleet more time to prepare for attacks against Germany.  This technology helped Britain defeat Germany and rove that Hitler's Blitzkrieg can be fought against.  This also allowed the United States a base to place their troops on arrival in World War 2.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Germany broke the non-aggression pact with Russia and started invading them.  Russia held off Germany and made some troops surrender due to starvation and the freezing cold temperatures.  This made Germany much more vulnerable to attacks on both sides instead of having Russia as an ally.</p>]]></description>

A lot of American men died, a lot of American ships were damaged, and the United States enters the second world war. This was only a short term victory for Japan, but in the long run this opened up a whole new battlefront and war for the world.</p>]]></description>

This helps France become independent from Germany again. The United States defeated Japan and their strong efforts.  Soon after the United States attacked Japan and their aircraft carriers.  This was the turning point for the war on the Pacific Ocean.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Allied Forces attacked a Japanese airbase in the Solomon islands.  The battle was a very violent and gruesome one.  Ending with more than 24,000 people dead.  It helped the Allied forces be in a better position than the Japanese were in.  It also ended Japan being able to expand their territory.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>These battles were very brutal for who controlled territory very close to Japan.  The allies were ultimately successful and gained a threshold to invade Japan.  This basically sealed the fate for the rest of world war 2. </p>]]></description>

Said the atomic bomb was the quickest way to end a war.  140,000 japanese civilians died, and more died to radiation poisoning.</p><p><br></p><p>This ended world war 2.</p>]]></description>
