The war is between the U.S and Great Britain. When the British tried to restrict U.S trade, the U.S fought back. In the end the U.S won the war with the help of the great hero, Andrew Jackson. Jackson will always be remembered for his heroic actions during the War of 1812. The War, in some eyes, was seen as the second war of independence because it instilled nationalism in the hearts of the people and opened up more trade for the U.S.

Westward Expansion and the Annexation of Texas played a large role in provoking the Mexican American War. When the US took the risk of annexing Texas they knew it would tick off Mexico, but they didn't realize it would start a war. President James. K. POlk had an idea that it was their Manifest Destiney to spread to the Pacific coast.
The U.S again won the war and won a lot of territory. The U.S took over what is now California, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico.

The Civil War was a brutal war between The North and the South. the North was named the Union and the South was named the Confederates. There were many underlying issues that caused the War, but the main reason was the issue over slavery. We all know that the South was highly in favor of slavery and of course the North was not. The South was definitely the underdogs during the war. The North had four times as many citizens and it consisted of seventy percent of the nations railroads. The South had one key thing that the North did not have. The South had many supporters because they were defending their homeland and this gave them a large sense of patriotism. They also ha some of the best army officers in U.S history. This includes Robert E. Lee who defended the South and almost led them to victory. He was struck down by the North's officer, Ulysses S. Grant towards the end of the war. In the end the North won the war and the issue over slavery
will continue to be addressed.
