Put differently, independent learning is a process when L as a learner, take responsibility, control and ownership of my learner. As the CEO (Chief executive officer) of my learning pathway, I get motivated and confident which will in turn improve my understanding and performance.

It’s exciting because it means I get to choose what I learn, explore topics I enjoy, and work at my own pace. It’s empowering to know I’m responsible for my learning and can make choices about how I study.

However, it can also be hard because it takes a lot of self-discipline and good time management. Without a teacher or set schedule, staying focused and avoiding distractions can be difficult. I’ll need to set clear goals, make a plan, and push myself to stay motivated.

Overall, being an independent learner is a big step. It helps me build confidence, stay curious, and be ready for new challenges, both in school and in life.
