We can avoid communication breakdown by taking into account two things, our message structure and our audience. Firstly, message structure because regardless of other elements of noise source, I think the most important in this case is our semantics and if we form our sentences in words catered to the receiver I think communication breakdown can be easily avoided. Lastly, we need to take into consideration our receiver's demographic ,with things like "age/gender/country" to name a few, and combining this with our semantics.

The best possible way to avoid a communication breakdown is by talking in person or face-to-face. Talking face-to-face will stop any miscommunication that may happen during calls or any type of digital communication. Communication breakdown happens when 2 or more people have a misinterpretation of what the other person is saying, resulting in a lack of communication and a failure to exchange information with one another.

We can avoid communication breakdown by listening properly, reassurance and by focusing in the conversation. We can also avoid by choosing the appropriate people for the specific conversation considering the topic of the conversation and what they're good at. For example, if this particular guy/girl is good at games then you should engage a conversation with them about games. If they're good at studies then engage a conversation with them about studies. We can also avoid it by being more specific about what you're saying/asking, make sure you're using the correct grammar and make sure you're typing/saying the correct words/things

To avoid communication breakdown, we have to ensure that everything is in order. We need to check all our noise sources whether it is physical, physiological, psychological, semantic, or cultural. Any error in any of this results into communication breakdown such as the example provided earlier where there was a semantic and psychological error due to a possible generation gap and the sentence structure where things were not specified as it should have been. We also have to understand the process of communication where we receive, decode, and give feedback. Any disruption in the communication can result in irregular conversations and interruptions in the conversation.

In order for us to avoid communication, for me it starts with the way we word our idea or our semantics. When we want to communicate the idea we have, it is important that the source words the message properly and comprehensively. A lot of times, communication breakdowns happen when the source delivers the message with not much explanation hence the receiver interprets it wrongly. Many other factors such as bias, age gap, perception all play a factor into the receiver decoding the message sent. Its also important to note these factors of the receiver to properly convey the message.

I think that ways the we can avoid communication breakdown is to be mindful of who we are communicating with and what is their style of communicating. For example, when we talk to someone we need to speak the same language as them to understand and have a meaningful discussion, we can apply this same way of thinking to when we communicate. We must know the other persons preferred or way of communicating be it through text or in person. This way we can avoid any communication breakdown from person to person.

There are times in which the idea or the things we want to communicate to others will not be interpreted the way you want it. By being more detailed in our words and when speaking with others, we can prevent communication breakdowns. Additionally, make sure that this is a good place and time to talk to the person. Pay closer attention. Show genuine curiosity and an open mind while you listen to what people have to say. To prevent misunderstandings in communication, we can also prevent it by speaking clearly and loudly when we communicate.

Avoiding a breakdown in communications depends on a case-to-case basis. In order to prevent a communication breakdown, we must assess the situation first; as we should analyze who we are communicating to, and in what environment we are communicating with them. The source of the message must properly encode their message so that the receiver can properly decode it and give the necessary feedback. When interacting with certain individuals, there might be a chance to encounter noise sources such as physical, physiological, psychological, semantic, and cultural noise sources. With this in mind, the source must adjust the way they encode their message. The result of not properly encoding a message to the sender is that there is a possibility wherein the receiver also does not decode the message properly, which leads to the receiver giving feedback that the source will not expect. In other words, if the source does not properly encode their message to the needs of the receiver, or if the receiver misinterprets the message and gives feedback which is unexpected; that is called a "communication breakdown."

We can avoid communication breakdowns by lessening the chance of a noise source appearing for the receiver to properly interpret the message that has been sent to them. The sender should be as specific as possible to make sure the proper idea within the message is communicated properly. The sender needs to keep these noise sources in mind and encode it in a way that the receiver will be able to understand the message the best they can. The sender also needs to keep in mind of the demographic or background of the receiver as they could come from different cultures or age groups could lead to a misunderstanding or communication breakdown. Just like in the activity earlier, the sender did not keep in mind the generational gap and the way they phrased their message between them and their lola which lead to a miscommunication.

We can avoid communication breakdowns by double check the words we would be using to create a sentence or consider the different generation gaps if talking to someone older than you.

Communication Breakdown occurs commonly in a communication with someone. It is inevitable since it happens in some point of our life. Not everyone has access to sufficient knowledge to have a perfect mind in order to understand each other by the first time they hear or witness certain words or actions. It may be inevitable but we could prevent it from happening in most of our communication.

According to the Mathematical Theory of Communication, communication breakdown happens because of the element of "Noise Source" being present between the signal or transmitter of the sender and the receiver. The Noise Source are the Physical, Physiological, Psychological, Semantic, and Cultural. Knowing that each of us are unique, people's understanding, beliefs, and values are influenced by these elements. Knowing these differences, to avoid miscommunication, the sender and the receiver must adjust their mind set into one phase. They should formulate their sentences in a way that both of them could understand. Firstly, by identifying the similarities between the two speaker. For example, you're talking to someone that is younger to you, you must adjust your words into simple concepts that the child can understand. Knowing the identity and personality of whom you are speaking to and adjusting your message by it, will prevent communication breakdown from happening.

In my opinion, to avoid communication breakdown, one must ensure that all necessary noise sources are successfully evaded. To elaborate further, what I mean is that to communicate efficiently is to know how to avoid using words, phrases, or symbols that could confuse the receiver. From what I know, communication breakdowns only occur after a multitude of incidents regarding miscommunication of any sort. An unnecessary wording phrase or emoji could easily change the meanings and intentions of entire paragraphs, both in minor and major ways. Misspellings too could allude your receiver to the intention of your message and lead to them not understanding it at all. This could easily be prevented by constructing your sentences carefully and checking if there are any grammar errors. To summarize, I believe the best way to avoid a communication breakdown is to double-check your sentences, to review if there are any errors that could mislead your receiver.

A way of avoiding communication breakdown is first of all knowing who you're communicating to such as Who, How old, From where, The environment and more. This is to avoid miscommunication in terms of types of noise in communication such as semantic, cultural, psychological as the way the sender phrases the words may be interpreted wrong to the receiver due to the two of them being lost in translation. This is because if either one of them miscommunicates there will be a communication breakdown. So it is best to be clear and concise with our words and tone with each person and through each interaction. Another is to be clear and concise with the wording by being specific and not using things such as slang that one might not understand.

In this day and age, the breakdown of communication stands out as the most prevalent problem in the exchange of information amongst individuals. Avoiding communication breakdown involves recognizing various factors, first and foremost, we should be aware of communication and its inherent nature, these include what the environment or situational context the source is; furthermore, we can avoid communication breakdown through identifying the noise source that prevents and hampers how the information source transmits its message to the receiver for proper feedback, these include the physical, psychological, semantic, cultural, and psychological factors.

In conclusion, we should also practice active listening and comprehension in order to have good interpretation of how we can decode the message, by choosing the right channel, diction, tone, we clearly communicate what message we want to convey. We also consider whether we want to inform, persuade, argue, or express the idea of the message for the receiver to properly breakdown each information. Communication is key, however, communication is nothing without proper comprehension.

We can avoid communication breakdown by being specific on what we are trying to say. One example is if you are planning to go to Hawaii to meet your friend there, but there is no mention of where you are staying it. Just because we think it's easy to interpret does not mean it is the same for others because we are all different. The receiver should also ask follow-up questions just in case. We also need to know how to emphasize words, so receivers will have an easier time interpreting the message to avoid any communication breakdown. And lastly, it is very important to know who you are communicating with, so you can use adjust accordingly to their style of communication.

We can also make the message easily interpreted to avoid misunderstandings of the meaning of the message. Be always aware of how noise sources like psychology, physiological and semantic can make the message change it's meaning. We should also consider about how culture can differ the message like how in other countries can have the same word but different meaning. With communicating, we must be able to find a way to clearly present the meaning of a message without having to ruin the interpretation of the message.

We should remove all distractions and control our surroundings by choosing a quiet place, or use technology such as noise-canceling headphones to reduce background noise. More importantly, we must take into account the receiver's differences as well. We should also make use of proper language and grammar and avoid jargons so that we may be able to send our message correctly. We must also consider the cultural aspects of a person, as to not be insensitive. Empathy is important in understanding the other person's differences so that we may deliver our message right.

By looking at the communication cycle, it is noticeable that there is a possibility that a problem might arise in every step of the process. Both the sender and the receiver are responsible for ensuring that the communication goes smoothly. First, the sender needs to be as clear and concise as possible when they are encoding or sharing their message. The sender is also responsible in choosing a channel that can help properly deliver a message. Lastly, the receiver needs to try and take into account numerous factors such as the background of the sender as well as the context of the mesage to avoid a communication breakdown.

In my opinion, one of the best ways to overcome or at least solve communication breakdown is to first know who you're talking to for you to be able to be more relatable and have a way to make them understand your idea more clearly. Secondly, you must be more empathetic when you talk to people, considering you have to think in their shoes to not offend or for simply being polite to them. Lastly but surely not the least is being open-minded and listening to them attentively, for this is how you base on your way of talking to them. With this you can also keep yourself attentive to what they're saying to further understand their part of their idea being expressed.

Selecting the right and proper diction and tone with what the situation relays with is essential to creating clear and distinct interactions with other people. We need to consider if the receiver of our message possibly has any of the types of the noise sources. We can ask ourselves questions like "Can he/she hear me properly?" or "Am I choppy on the phone?" and more questions about the different types of noise sources. After we realize that we can communicate properly, we need to make sure that we are doing our job of properly stating the message. We can do this by making sure that we are grammatically correct and we are not doing anything offending with our gestures and words in relation to the receiver's culture.

We can avoid communication breakdown by being first being aware of the elements or how communication actually happens between a sender and receiver. Being aware of the process and the elements involved may seem like making communication more complex however, it allows us to properly understand the flow of communication and what are the obstacles that we may encounter which may cause miscommunication between the sender and receiver and these are through noise sources. An example of these are physical noise sources such as phone call miscommunication through the tangible medium of a telephone or Cell phone. Another would be language barriers and generational gap. We can avoid miscommunication by being aware of these elements and noise sources to be able to send the message to the receivers more clearly. Another way is for the receivers to be aware of the senders message and listen carefully.

Communication is an integral part of how we can express ourselves to others. However, in developing our skills in this field. We can't deny that most of us have experienced communication breakdowns or a sense of miscommunication with the people we interact and talk with. There are many factors to consider if we ever experience this and what I think is the most ideal way to resolve or address this problem is with 2 solutions. The first solution that everyone should consider is awareness. Awareness is an important factor if you want to be understood by the person you are talking to. You should have the obligation to know how your message is being perceived by the receiver. You need to understand the message from their perspective wherein if you are the receiver, how would you respond if the message was given to you? The next solution to resolve this is simply just by being concise and straightforward. You should be able to relay the message to what it is and don't overcomplicate the message by delivering vague or to complicated words.

We can avoid communication breakdown by constructing our sentence to be clear and specific in order for it to be understood. This means considering the person you are talking to and if that person can understand the way you want to convey it. Then, speak clearly for the person to understand you. If the interpretation of the person is wrong, you explain it again in another way in order for the person to understand it the way you want to.

Realistically speaking, we can avoid communication breakdown by listening carefully to them or comprehend the statement as clear and fast as possible; having to ask them to summarize the statement or to repeat can be one of the ways to confirm your idea. Having to pay close attention to the gestures, symbols, tone of your voice, body gestures facial expressions can confirm the important information and to ask questions or a feedback can contribute to the comprehension of the receiver. In addition to that, of course this would varry because our culture is different that’s why we need to be cautious and precise to the words of our choosing.

The breaking down of communication can be avoided by first recognizing situations that make misunderstandings possible. Some of these include the use of language that is not common in most areas, slang words developed across a specific community and using mixtures of languages from different cultures. The aim should be to communicate as clearly and as objectively understandable as possible. We can accomplish this by being mindful and concise with our word choice and articulate with our sentence structure. External factors must also be taken into consideration, acknowledging the people we are attempting communicate with and our medium of communication.

It is a must that we should prioritize active listening, since it ensures that everyone fully comprehend one another. It is best that we must make our messages and intentions to be simple and clear so that it is very much understood of the general population. Respect is also something that every person have. Each of us have different cultures and we should be aware of how they communicate. Another major factor would be gaining feedbacks from other people to confirm their understanding and address any misinterpretations. It is normal for us to have mistakes when we speak. It is best that we should learn from it and that we should practice more.
