I enjoy both video. At my school we were already awarded with the silver seal of ESafety Label. 
We try to inform, teachers, students, staff, fathers about policies implemented. We define a lot of group policies applied with the domain authentication, antivirus updated, and a lot of updates spread to all computers by WSUS. 

But, it is not completely secure. I also have to say that we have block, then we can not access to some webs.
On the other hand, I have problems with my personal computer, although I have free antivirus and I up-date it, it seems that it always has problems.

One from the point of view of the user and the second from the point of view of the technology used (i.e. router, PCs, OS s/w, firewall). If a user (teacher or student) do not take much care on which web site he uses or if he/she uses USB flash drive that is infected then its probable the machine to be infected (if the antvirus is not updated). Technology used is important too. E.g. strong Cisco routers give extra protection to the network. Also, Linux vs. Windows give differents levels of security etc.. We have several safety measures like computerized authentication through personal credentials which are different  depending the different areas we have to access to. For example if we want to access the electronic registry during the lesson or even from home to upload materials . We do use a different authentication if we  want to access computers in the teacher room and to make copies from different materials  for example to create  tests for our classes. We  use google classroom environment with a specific authentication through the domain of the regional office of the educational ministry.Also  students have different systems of authentication if they access internet during the lessons from school devices or if they access the google class environment from school or from home. We have also antivirus and firewall.  Nevertheless the risks of the intrusion of malware are persistent,  as many colleagues and students as well  do not really understand the risks related to the use of USBs while transferring datas or files, which could be transferred through google drive or  via email from their own computer or smartphone.I think there is still a strong need of awareness  of the real importance of a responsible use of security measures. In the school we have differentiated the networks for the students and teachers of administration offices. Sensitive data are treated separately. Backups are made from time to time.
We have a very good antivirus, we have used it for years and no virus has entered.
But it´s true that we have a problem with teachers and student. They are not aware of the dangers of USB keys, downloads from unsafe sites, suspicious links, etc.
We have to provide our staff with basic training on detecting potential infected files and secure practices when downloading files or using portable devices.

Internet is provided through a national network for schools, so many addresses are blocked and/or filtered. But in school level there is no policy and not enough money to have a person deal with all that exclusively.

We all log in using our usernames and passwords. We have a firewall and an antivirus system that the computer department takes care of. The Computer department also take care of backing up our files. They keep an image from each day, week, month and a year in case something happens to our data. 

Users can’t download and setup software to the schools computers, Computer department takes care of that. Students and staff are allowed to use the internet and we try to educate them to be aware but sometimes we get into trouble because of spam-emails or adware but we deal with that.

Luckily we haven't had any serious intrusion in our school infrastructure and any problems with the students. There is an antivirus and a firewall in the server. I wrote an article about and tested my school. Four  years ago I promoted  a course  for children and teachers. So I can say that my part was inform and trying to create with other teachers clear rules/policy. My head teacher/ this year want to apply them.  Maybe things will change in the next years because a couple of months ago we changed our Head Director. We had Panda and AVG freetools , I prefer AVG but teachers need to be trained to undrstand and learn how to handle with rules round about E-safety (malware and protection off data ...). I think the E-Safety Label project is a very good help in this direction.

In my school there is only one network for students and teachers. All users are connected to a server, and in this server there is different user policy for students and for teachers. An enterprise version of antivirus is installed on the server and the workstations are updated automatically. Also, there is a firewall system in the server and finally the National School Network block and/or filter many dangerous addresses.

She didn't even know, that it was there. The computer was getting slowly, not responding and so on. Connecting new printer to her computer was mission impossible. I became suspicious, so I checked firewall. It was turned off. I also scanned all computer with antivirus program. There it was, trojan horse. We scanned all the other computers in the network and luckily it didn't spread around. I backup secretary's documents, formated all partitions and reinstalled OS and other programs.
