The 3 causes of Exploration for Alexander Mackenzie is considered positive and negative.

GOLD-

positive- He was in search for new trade routes with his people which was a positive way he could be free to indulge in his ambition and ability to explore.

negative- Trade caused many issues between other nations and countries which negatively impacted Mackenzie’s trade ambition.

GLORY-

positive- He was the first and is most well known for crossing the East and West of North America north of Mexico. He crossed overland of what is now Canada.

negative- It preceded the more famous Lewis and Clark exploration by 12 years, which most likely is more important and known to others which caused it to not be noticed as much.

The 1st point of view was a quote from him saying how Canada and its people feel about the country and his explorations. The 2nd point of view shows his discoveries and the rock in Canada along with the Mckenzie river. They are different because they show what he thinks about Canada and the other is his discoveries from exploration.

When he got to North America he went to trade and brought fur. This changed North America including Canada because they then received goods and fur which was used to make things such as coats, which was much needed and at high demand in the north because of the cold temperatures.

Took- Alexander Mackenzie explored and created new trade routes to give to North America for new trading options, he worked with the NorthWest Company.

First an effect that caused expansion was explorers needing space and land to use to trade. For example, Canada was found and was used for trading purposes. This is a positive effect because areas were improving with new resources and goods used from trade and expanding.

Another effect is people traveling and exploring new places, countries were expanding and gaining colonies from claiming them from other lands while expanding their territories. For example, England gained colonies in the United States and other countries gained land in Canada. This could be seen as positive or negative because it is gaining land for other countries but it causes conflicts with other countries.

Lastly an effect that caused human expansion includes explorers like Alexander Mackenzie getting sent from England and his family to create trade routes and forming a group to travel continents including North America and finding new landforms and areas that are undiscovered.
