Numerous decisions

I was not aware that we make thousands upon thousands of decisions a day. Typically when I think about making decisions I think of pondering of the situation to decide one. When the video talked about the very small decisions that occur everyday like making a turn, sending a text, and so on and so forth, it made sense that we make so many decisions in a day.

Too Many Options

I thought it was interesting how our brain prefers fewer options when it comes to making decisions. We as humans are rationalizing beings and it we feel like having multiple options is always a good way of going about things because it allows us to see all the multiple avenues available . Our brains do not operate the same though. When there are too many options and we make a decision there is always that creeping doubt that another one would have been better. I have never thought of it in this way before but the ice cream parlor is a perfect example.

Unconcious decision making

I also found unconscious decision making to be interesting because, like I stated on my first point, when I typically think of making decisions I think of pondering the decision at hand to decide. The fact that we make unconscious decisions is fascinating because you do not even acknowledge it because it is done unconsciously without us even knowing. I think it is cool how we decide on stuff without even thinking about it.
