The project consists of <strong>A) </strong>a reading portion, during which <em>Animal Farm </em>will be read, <strong>B)</strong> A 2-3 page paper where students will discuss the text as it pertains to propaganda and communism, and <strong>C)</strong> A short presentation of their paper, culminating in the submission of the project.</div>]]></description>

This lesson seems to largely be an individualized project, meant to be done on one's own. The only discussion taking place is <em>after </em>everyone has read the book. What about during the reading? And while there is an opportunity for peer review, it is right at the end of the assignment. Let's create a sense of community in here, shall we?</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>If you've read into "The Bad", you know one of the things I would change about this lesson was the goals. Not necessarily the content of the goals, although that does stand to be worked on, but, rather the publication of the lesson's goals to the students themselves. I think this example gives us a good idea of what the purpose of the lesson is (Teach students to properly analyze <em>Animal Farm, </em>and have them compare historical Marxist figures with the animals in the story); the problem is that this is not being described to students.</div>]]></description>
