At the age of six I started going to school. The first grade I entered was kinder garden at Stevens Cooperative School. I was new to school and I didn't like it very much as I was forced to go somewhere and stay there for most of the day without my parents.

This shows my claim because it is the start of my educational carrier and although I hated school for the most part, I was still pushed to do it because it was making me a better person in general.

After kinder garden I moved into elementary school. I still disliked school throughout these years and I would rather stay home and do anything but work. Speaking about work, the topics and work that we learned about became significantly more advanced since kinder garden and luckily for me I was able to keep up. Surprisingly in second grade, I realized how important school was and your future life depended on you doing well in school. From this point on, I was determined to do well in every class.

This relates back to my claim because it shows how elementary school is the moment that I started to gain the drive to be the best I can at school for the sake of my future.

This is the point in my school career that I really started taking school seriously. It about time this happened too because I had to start thinking about high school and my next step in my educational career. In middle school, the concepts and topics we went over were once again significantly more advanced than elementary school. I was and still am able to keep up with the work load that is given to me. I was still in Stevens Cooperative school for all of elementary school and until 7th grade. After the end of 7th grade, I had to look at different high schools and I saw that Avenues had an open spot for 8th grade. Since we were going to apply for Avenues for high school I just thought it would be a good Idea to apply for 8th grade and it turns out it was. After I did the work required for the application for Avenues and the interview, I was accepted. Now I am currently an Avenues student still going through my career and I have a long way to go.

This connects to my claim because it shows how I was taking my education really seriously and didn't want to give up. I am a totally different person that I was in elementary school and even 6th grade and 7th grade. Going to school has changed me a lot as I learn many new things everyday, and I think of the world very differently than I did before.
