I celebrate my birthday with cake and my family.

On New Year's Eve, my family and I do a gift exchange and have dinner at midnight.

My favorite holiday is Carnival because I go to the beach.

In Ecuador, we have the tradition of burning paper dolls at midnight to say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new one. We also eat twelve grapes, one for each wish.

My favorite holiday is Christmas because it brings the whole family together. We celebrate it with a special dinner, Christmas carols, and gifts.

Inglés: One of my most memorable birthdays was when my family organized a surprise party with all my friends. It was special because I didn’t expect it, and I felt very loved.

2: On New Year’s Eve, my family and I usually have dinner together, and at midnight we make wishes, hug each other, and sometimes set off fireworks.

3: Christmas is my favorite holiday because it brings my family together. We decorate the house, exchange gifts, enjoy a special meal, and spend time in a warm and joyful atmosphere.

4:One of my most memorable birthday celebrations was when my best friends surprised me with a party. It was special because I didn’t expect it, and I felt very loved and appreciated.

2.- On New Year's Eve my family usually dresses up in new clothes and prepares food for midnight. We also usually buy effigies to burn at midnight with music.

3.- My favorite holiday is Christmas, since on that day with friends from church we usually give candy and toys to children and at night my family gets together for something very familiar and quiet.

4.- At school my classmates usually celebrated my birthdays with a cake and when I turned 17 my family thought they had forgotten my birthday but they only had a surprise for me that night.

I usually celebrate it with my friends. Sometimes we go out to dinner at a nice restaurant or just gather at my apartment to eat pizza and watch movies. My mom always brings me a cake from my favorite bakery, so that's a big point.

What are some special New Year's Eve traditions you follow with your family or friends?

With my family, we always have dinner together, and at 12 o'clock, we go out to the balcony to set off fireworks. After that, my grandma makes us all hot chocolate with marshmallows. With my friends, we usually go to a party or bar and celebrate until the early hours.

Why is Christmas or Thanksgiving (or any other holiday) your favorite holiday, and how do you usually celebrate it?

Christmas is, without a doubt, my favorite holiday. I love the atmosphere, the lights, the food, and the fact that my whole family gets together. We usually spend Christmas Eve at my maternal grandparents' house, and Christmas Day at my paternal grandparents' house. It's the only time a year I see some of my cousins, so it's always a good time.

What are some memorable birthday celebrations you've had, and what made them special?

My 21st birthday party was the most memorable. My friends threw me a surprise party at a local bar, and all my friends and family showed up. I didn't suspect it at all, so it was a great surprise. I had a great time, and the fact that all my loved ones were there made it even more special.

We met at my grandmother's house to celebrate the New Year

Because they are very important dates and are the days when the family gets together the most.

When I had my first surprise party, I turned 19 and it was very special for me because I had my family together and especially my grandmother.
