The Jews and the Arabs let that work for a bit when the UN divided them into two states, even though their territories cut into one another and were widespread. I feel like a better solution would be to equally divide the land making sure everyone had a water source and could maintain life but they could still be separate to their own states. 

Israel was mentioned the most in this timeline and I think they could use some fixing because they seem to be a big part of the problem.
