Our most important partners are suppliers who deliver the materials that we include in the boxes. This makes a company that delivers seeds one of our most important suppliers, as this is the main good we are selling to our customers. Besides the material inside the box, we also need to provide the boxes themselves. We have found boxes that are sold online in bulk, which means it’s less expensive than buying single boxes.

The first is studying at home, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because they are at home the whole day, they need a moment to relax and get their minds off of school. We provide them with this opportunity by selling the seeds that they can grow a plant from and by helping them keep track of their plant-growing journey.  The other problem is that the costumer finds growing plants (from seeds) a hard process. To help them in this process, Seedy will always be there to give them the motivation that they need to keep growing and taking care of the plant. This will be done through the Seedy website or sending motivational messages through e-mail or text. This gives the costumer the feeling that they are not alone and have someone to rely on when there does not seem to be any progress in the growth of the plant. In comparison to regular plant stores, this product gives the costumer the opportunity to grow their own plant and have someone to guide and motivate them through this process. A designer charges about 75 euro’s an hour to keep the website up to date and add new features if we would like to do so.
Product: Each decorative box will cost 5 euro’s, add costs to make the inside (seeds, etc) and one box would cost about 8 euro’s. 
Shipping: Our idea is to cover all the domestic shipping costs and cover part of the international shipping (EU only) costs.

We create value for those that find growing a plant, from seeds, a long and difficult process. The segmented costumer might have some information about plants, but they do not know enough about specific requirements or living conditions of the plant. They have an interest in growing and taking care of plants and might have a plant already. 

The most important costumers purchase this product because they are in need of someone that motivates them during the plant-growing-process. Another reason why these costumers might purchase this product as a meditative activity to relax after a (at-home) workday. The early adapters will be those that give up on growing plants quickly. They purchase Seedy to motivate them and give them the information that they need to keep growing the plant.
