As a first year student, i was able to participate in the 1^st Tourism and Hospitality Undergraduate Colloquium. The program is held in Dewan Kuliah Pusat 1 on 15^th May 2017. This program was been organised by the 3^rd year Hotel Management student as a experience to organised such as bigger program. This is to improve their skills how to managed such as the biggest event when they managed to get a better job when graduate. As Sir say that all of us Hotel Management student will have a task to present our assignment at the Colloquium program. This make all of us are nervous because we don’t have any courage to speak in front of many people and in the biggest venue in Dewan Kuliah Pusat 1.

          Our first task is to produce a poster about the accommodation. Our group has choose the title about the accommodation of hospitality industry life. This is so hard for us to make because been rejected several time because of a few reason. But we are managed to finish it before due date. This is because our group leader that guide us to make the proper poster. Its so work it because of our leader commitment to finish this assignment. On the event, some our group are not attended the colloquium because of the other field trip by our course Hotel Management. We attend the colloquium are very nervous because sir Yuzainy has asked that people that not join the field trip will be present in front of the 2^rd year student, 3^rd year student and other guest from other university. This make our as the first year student are nervous because the program only needed 1 person to present not 2 person that been told by the lecturer. This is the hardest task that been given because its hard for us to present in front other person especially 1 person that will make it. We are not enough experience to present it in front other guest.

          When the colloquium started, we are guide by the 3^rd year student to register our name to prove we are attend the colloquium event. I also give the poster that we been make to enter the colloquium activities. Our group are been selected as the group 7 that will present in that program. First of the program are been launched by the our Hotel Management Prof. Its become the symbolic that the colloquium event is been started. Many of the guest are been invited to give the lecturer about the hotel management career. Its to courage us because many of the people especially student are not enough knowledge what are the career that will be suitable if we graduate. This speech are make become us more positive with the career that we been choose when accept this degree of Business in Hotel Management. After the speech we are entertained by the performance that are very entertaining. Its very fun for us to watch because they play the local music equipment. After that we been given recess for us to rest.

          After that, other speaker are been give her speech about the tourism in sabah. Its say that sabah has many beautiful place and culture village that are famous around the world. After the speech, its a presentation that been we awaited. The presentation are start with the 3^rd year student and lastly first year student. All the presentation are in the stage and will be judge by the invited judge that are coming to the colloquium event. All students are take turns to present until our group turns that will be present by Jira. Our group member are happy because Jira will be our group represent to give speech about our poster. We are very proud of her courage to speak using the English language when present the poster. After that, finally the colloquium are ended with the prize that will be given to the best group. Although our group didn’t win, its become our opportunity because of the experience that we get when attend this colloquium event.
