1.Reflective statement is a written record. You can write every detail of your art works from start to the end.

Eg. Process, reason, purpose, challenge, the way you overcome it, outcome, idea about next work.

2.forces you to be aware of your decision making process while you are creating include conscious decisions and intuitive decisions. Also, you can reflect by it.

Quotation - to take sentences that are original from the secondary resource

paraphrase - to take a sentence and rewrite it in your own words

Quotation mark- “”, in paraphrasing, we don’t use quotation marks. But still need to reference its source.

Which part of the assessment do we need to use topic sentences in?

We need to use topic sentences in our research essay, and the reading into writing exam.

Why are topic sentences important?

So the reader can can clearly understand what the paragraph is saying.

idea= opinion= point= observation= suggestion= viewpoint= view

the importance is to not repeat the same words in your essay when talking about secondary sources, because it sounds more advanced if you use more vocabulary

At first, I want to use food as the theme. I tried this method because I want to convey that the food we eat may also contain plastic particles.

But this seems too focus on human. I want to focus on ocean creature. So I rethink the theme and consider audience impact all the time. Then I planned features are suitable for my work. 

2. What is your final design? How different is it to the first idea you had?

My final design used installation art to convey information of ocean debris and the theme is sea turtle. It is different from the first idea I had. I though it would be powerful to arouse compassion. If I had more time, I would plan it in detail.

3. What have you learnt about art activism on this course, and how would you like to engage with art activism in the future?

What I learned is art activism is convey your idea of social/political issues through art works. Besides, I knew many artist like Banksy. Also, I did a research of two artists, barker and pozzi, which let me know more about art activism.
