To make sure he isn't foolish about his wishes he pricks his tongue with a thorn to remind himself not to wish foolishly. Mr.Peters was lonely and had no companion so he decided to make his first wish a wife as beautiful as the forest,after awhile she becomes sad,Mr.Peters finds out she is a swan and that she misses her family. Mr.Peters saw that she was never going to be happy as a human,with his second wish he turns her wife back into a swan sacrificing his happiness.Should he have used his 2nd wish to turn his wife back into a swan?
