💚 How to Use the Gratitude Board

1. Getting Started (Optional)
If you haven’t used Padlet before:

• Create an Account: Click Sign Up in the top right corner and follow the prompts. Using your UAA email will make things easy to remember later.

• Log In: Once your account is set up, log in to start posting.

2. Share Your Gratitude

1. Click the “+” button (bottom right) to start a new post.

2. Add a Title – for example, the person’s name or a short phrase like “Shoutout to Facilities!”

3. Write Your Message: Tell them why you’re thankful — what they did and how it made an impact.

   • Example: “Thank you, Jamie, for helping us coordinate the Staff Council meeting at the last minute. Your calm and organization saved the day!”

4. Tag Them (optional): If your colleague has a Padlet account, type @ followed by their name to notify them.

5. Add a Little Extra: Include a photo, GIF, emoji, or image that captures the spirit of your message!

UAA’s SBDC offers no-cost advising, education, and resources to help folks start, grow, buy, and sell small businesses. Through BuyAlaska.com, they also remind us to shop local first, because supporting local keeps our communities buzzing.

Covering one of the most geographically challenging states, this team does it all with skill, care, and serious dedication. This year alone, they led the nation in SSBCI funding deployment and are creating AI tools and other innovations that are turning heads across the country.

Most importantly, they care about people: helping business owners tackle challenges, celebrate wins, and turn ideas into real opportunities. I’m lucky to work alongside such engaged, forward-thinking colleagues who go above and beyond for our university and Alaska!

Big event causing campus chaos? They’re directing traffic like pros. Whatever the challenge, Parking steps up — and they make it look easy.
