I believe what is stopping politicians from passing legislation that would benefit all americans (medicare for all, the green new deal, a $15 minimum wage etc.) is the fact that their corporate donors would cut their funds. Corporations have their hands in power, which honestly defeats the purpose of having democracy because it is essentially the corporations, and not the people, holding the politicians accountable to meet their desires of making more money. I think all campaigns should be funded via grassroots methods so that the American people can have the candidate that best represents them elected. Most talking points against progressive policy comes from big lobbyist groups, which hinders policy that would truly benefit all Americans.

There aren't a lot of schools that teach ASL, and it's not common practice to have workers who speak it for customers who are hard of hearing or deaf.
