It cannot be him! A huge lump formed at the back of my throat and I could feel cold sweat beading on my forehead. How terrible must my luck be, to bump into the most fearsome man in my school – the Discipline Master! He is known to be the loudest man in the school, often seen shouting and terrorising ill-mannered students with his booming voice.

I pinched myself, hoping to wake up from this nightmare. Ouch! It was not a dream. I held my breath and wrung my hands together. Sinking lower into my seat, I prayed that he would not see me.  However, Lady Luck is not on my side today. I watched him head towards the back of the bus where I was. By then, my heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was going to burst forth from my ribcage any second.

“Hi Rafael!” Mr Tan boomed, his loud voice almost deafening me.

“Er… h – hi, Mr T – Tan…” I stammered, biting my lip and avoiding his gaze. I was shaking like a leaf by then.

             I had stayed up late last night playing video games on my computer, thus forgetting about my exam the next day.
             As the invigilator handed out the papers to everyone and started the time. My heart started beating faster than ever, threatening to break my ribcage. I suddenly felt sick, my breakfast wanted to come out. I wringed my hands together and bit my lip. I should have studied last night.Ugh. I looked at the first question. Oh my god... I was going to fail this exam...Oh Lady Luck please be on my side...

It was in the middle of the night and I was rushing home for supper. It was then when I met with a decision that changed my fate. There was a road which would take very long to reach home and there was another road that would bring me to a dark alley but it would be faster to use that route. Suddenly I heard a loud and sharp scream.

 Cold sweat started beading from my head. My heart was pounding so hard that it could break my rib cage. Suddenly, I saw a group of men. I instantly recognised that group of men. I had recently seen them on the news. They were the most notorious gang in Singapore - Dakalau. I could not see clearly the dimmed lamp above was flickering. A chill shivered down my spine and my heart skipped a beat.

          Yes! Just what I needed. I picked the coin up while weeping tears of joy and bouncing around happily. I squealed in delight as I made my way to the shop to pay for the game. The principal was giving the whole school a lengthy lecture again for the sixth time of the year! Even though it was only March, she has lost her mind giving us even longer lectures each time.

Timmy had enough of these lectures and took out his Rubik’s cube to play with it. A few minutes later, Timmy was so obsessed with his Rubik’s cube that he did not know that the whole school hall had kept silent. Timmy looked up and saw the discipline master, Mr Lim, was pointing his index finger towards him.

"That boy over there! Stand up!" Mr Lim shouted at the top of his voice. Timmy was shocked and dropped his Rubik's cube on the floor. Timmy stood up with his legs shaking like jelly. Timmy's face turned as red as beetroot. He dare not look at his friends who were staring at him. Mr Lim called Timmy up on stage to show everyone his "good" behavior. Timmy went up, looking at his shoes. Mr Lim gave Timmy a lecture, shouting and scolding him in front of everybody. Timmy was on the verge of tears.

The playground was filled with hustle and bustle until a fearsome figure entered the playing area. The lively playground immediately quieted down as all the children brace for the terror that awaited them.The boys heart was thumping hardly on his chest and his hands began to sweat when the bully approached him.

 The infamous bully grabbed a young boy by the collar and snatched his toy car away and shouted "You a not worthy to be here in my territory! Get out!" The boy's mouth opened and closed trying to say something but held his words back. 

  A lone tear trickled down his cheek as he silently left the playground hanging his head in despair. One of the places where he spent his best time turned into a cesspool.

“I dare you to run across the road! If you dare I will do your homework for a month! Deal?” I asked my friend, Jim, smirking.

“Deal! Get ready to have double the homework!” Jim replied, as cool as cucumber.

He would never do it. But I was wrong. As fast as lightning, Jim sprinted towards the road and without thinking, stopped at the middle.

"See? I told - "

Bam! Everything happened before my eyes. My heart skipped a beat , as I stared at the lifeless body on the road. I gasped in shock as i covered my mouth. My mind went totally blank. I was petrified. I held my breath and prayed.
Oh God. What do I do now?
