1. How is functionalism and conflict theory similar?

Functionalism and conflict theory are two different ideas about how societies are formed and what needs they fulfill in our lives. ... Both of them believe that the society is performing some basic, functional role in human life, whether it is to protect individuals from each other or to prevent harm from outside forces

2。Functionalism believes that all aspects of society serve a society and are necessary for the survival of the society; while conflict theory believes that a society is in permanent class conflict due to limited resources and unequal distribution.

3 .Conflict theory, first purported by Karl Marx, is a theory that society is in a state of perpetual conflict because of competition for limited resources. Conflict theory holds that social order is maintained by domination and power, rather than by consensus and conformity.

4. Feminist Therapy focuses on empowering women and helping them discover how to break the stereotypes and molds of some traditional roles that women play that may be blocking their development and growth. This type of therapy grew out of influences of the women's movement of the late 1960'

5 .Macro-level sociology looks at large-scale social processes, such as social stability and change. Micro-level sociology looks at small-scale interactions between individuals, such as conversation or group dynamics. This area of study is extremely important, as it enables sociologists to identify trends and patterns in society. It also enables analysis of the similarities of and differences between various cultures.

The micro is a small-scale survey that includes mass media, pornography, parents, school administrators, teachers and colleagues gathered together to convey information to boys and the right way to masculinize is strong and dominant.

The conclusions produced by macrobiology often indicate the association or causality between different elements or phenomena in society. For example, Feagin’s research has also produced the theory of systemic racism, which proves that American whites have deliberately or otherwise constructed and maintained a racist social system for centuries, maintained their control of politics, law, education, and the media, and controlled the economy.

1. Conflict Theories are similar to functionalism in the way that they emphasize studying society with structure and work with "models" to explain how society works.

2. The main difference between functionalism and conflict theory is that the conflict theorism believes that a society is in perpetual class conflict and studies issues pertaining to the dominant and oppressed classes, like inequality, power struggles and competition.

3. Marx theorises that class conflict is the agent of change in human history, and that capitalism's class structure is run on conflict, with the bourgeoisie and proletariat in a relationship of underlying conflict. Essentially, class inequality always leads to conflict. It is a critical source for Conflict theories because his ideas are the main influences that most conflict theories are based on.

4. Feminism is a conflict theory which focuses on gender inequality. There is an unbalance of power and rights between men and women in most societies, with males dominating most fields. Feminist activist seek to draw attention to these topics and hopefully change will ensue.

5. Including the study of both micro and macro views of society helps social scientist better grasp the situation at hand. It helps them understand interactions between individuals and the interactions between global powers, or society as a whole. This way, they can take into account these details in their research process and thoroughly comprehend the issues society faces. For example:
The study of why an asian individual was harrassed by people in a western country. This is micro.
The macro view finds out why this phenomenon is happening due to larger forces besides the personal reasons of an individual, for example, the Covid-19 pandemic was started in China, and thus attacks on asians are more frequent as people think it is their faults.

1. They emphasize on social structures, and lay out a model on how society works.

2 conflict theorists reject functionalism's emphasis on consensus. concentrating on inequality and power, highliting importance of social division

3 Because most of his theories are controversial , feminism as an example, most of women think they should be treated as equal as men, however, most most of men think women belong to men

4 concentrating on gender inequality, the unequal situation between man and women

5. Study micro and macro can make people study social science from small aspect like daily lives to large level like politics and society.
Macro: investigating in a large scale, for example, feminism researchers focus on unequal gender relations and sexual relations in domestic situation.
Micro: investigating in a small fields , for example how common things affect gender inequalty, words like mankind, fireman that devaluate female power.

1. Functionalism and Conflict Theories are similar in the sense that they both are macro theories that study how how societies are formed and they both focus on performing some basic, functional role in human life, whether it is to protect individuals from each other or to prevent harm from outside forces.

2. Functionalism proposes that each individual contributes to the society’s overall performance and stability. In comparison, conflict theory suggests that due to the competition for resources, the society is in a state of perpetual conflict. Conflict theory embodies the conflict between two different social classes and inequality is inherit in social structures. Whereas functionalism shows that social stability and socialization are fundamental in achieving a strong society.

3. Marx's theory steams from conflict theories because he believes that society is in a state of perpetual conflict because of competition for limited resources. Conflict theory holds that social order is maintained by domination and power, rather than by consensus and conformity.

4. feminism is about all genders having equal rights and opportunities. It's about respecting diverse women's experiences, identities, knowledge and strengths, and striving to empower all women to realise their full rights.

5. Micro examines individuals and their beliefs and intentions and how they interact with each other. Whereas Macro analysis how groups of people react to things and how they interact with each other. The way this benefits social science research is because macro looks at society at a larger scale this can help enable social stability and change. Whilst micro can help influence daily lives for the better and can benefit society at a smaller scale.
- An example of Micro level racism is internalized or interpersonal racism. When a person is racist toward someone and their background.
- An example of Macro level racism is institutional racism when a whole society is racism towards a certain race.
