During this decade the deadliest school shooting occurred in Beslan school in Russian during the 2nd Chechen war which was the bloodiest war in that decade leaving Grozny completely destroyed and hundreds of thousands dead.In Libya dictator Gaddafi's government was quickly falling apart and would eventually start a civil war.The 2008 economic recession affected the entire world and changed the US economy with its effects still being felt to this day along with the Japanese economy going downhill after its economic boom.The natural disasters in this decade are one of the most devastating ones of all time including the Indian Ocean tsunami causing around 230,000 deaths and hurricane Katrina devastating the city of New Orleans causing around 2,000 deaths.

I think that that new diseases and climate change are major problems. Climate change has impacted health in a myriad of ways including air polution and water polution. Climate change can lead to diseases and can lead to death and illness from increasingly frequent extreme weather. Also frequent extreme weather events, such as heatwaves, storms and floods, can cause the disruption of food systems. This is very bad <3.
