In the text "Say No to Censorship", by Marcos Suarez the author's position expresses that students should be able to express their feeling's or goals freely he also thinks that students should be able to be free to say what they think or what they feel. The author could prove this because in paragraph 2 it states that "Educators need to respect students' right to free speech". In paragraph 5 it also states that " Respecting students' opinions on censorship will empower students and allow school yearbooks to be the treasure they deserve to have to be." The Author also expresses that in paragraph 3 "School authorities also need to consider how much students can learn when they express themselves freely." This shows that Authorities should let students express themselves freely.

In the text, "Say No To Censorship" the author explains his position on censorship by showing how the students can express themselves freely without anyone bothering them. In the text it states "A yearbook is a special collection of memories that will be treasured by students for decades." This shows that students will treasure their yearbook full of memories over the years in school for them. And they can express the feelings the have been clinging on too for so long. Another reason on how the author shows how students express themselves is that according to the text it states "Educators need to respect students' right to free speech." Showing that they have a voice too and that they have rights too express their feelings. And explains that students' should still be treated with respect even though their not adults yet. In conclusion, students' have a right to represent hw they feel and what they want to achieve.

The editorial text, "Say No to Censorship", supports the author's opinion well because it shows why he thinks yearbooks shouldn't be censored. For example, in the text it states, "Those who feel that yearbooks should be censored need to explain their goals. They may claim that they want to protect students, but are they really trying to promote their own values?" This shows that the author thinks that yearbooks should not be censored, and gave details why. Also, the text states, "School authorities also need to consider how much students can learn when they can express themselves freely. Students need more opportunities to develop their creativity". This also shows where he stands on yearbook censorship, and why he thinks it shouldn't be allowed.
