I think the soldiers stopped Annemarie because that is the soldier's job. They have to make sure no victim that is loyal to Jews gets past and have anything that is a clue to if they are.
2. Annemarie behaved like Kirsti because mama said that if she saw a solider, to act like a silly little girl which made her think about Kirsti and how she acted with the soldiers on the block on that day so far away.
3.
