         <description><![CDATA[<p>If you are running late or unable to attend, you must let your placement area know via phone as soon as possible.</p><p><br></p><p>If you are in an area that works a 24 hour shift pattern this should be before handover. please speak with the the Nurse in Charge  or   Registered Nurse.</p><p><br></p><p>Everybody gets sick and we know that sometimes things happen that we can not control that make us late. However, if  you do not let us know, you will not be working we will be concerned of your welfare.  if we do not hear from you, we will raise a safeguarding concern to ensure you are OK. You may also not achieve your professional values for placement or have an action plan initiated.</p><p><br></p><p>if you are unable to get through on the phone, you must keep trying until you do. please email your PA or inform them you trying to get through but cannot.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Please ensure that you follow trust policy uniform policy. More information can be found on the trust intranet.</p><p><br></p><p>This includes  your hair is tied back and off your collar, no nail varnish or gel nails is warn. Minimal jewellery present ( plain wedding band and studded earing only).</p><p><br></p><p>Please ensure you have a pair of black enclosed , non slip shoes, which can be wiped clean ( no fabric).</p><p><br></p><p>You are expected to wear a clean, well presented uniform at all times.</p><p><br></p><p>For those Student Nurse Associates who are working  within the Trust  they wear White Tunic with yellow epilates  and a black trousers.   To order  trust uniforms the form  on the intranet.</p><p><br></p><p>For Student Nurse Associates who  arrive to the Trust can wear there uniform they wear in the community/mental health.  if you do not wear a  uniform Scrubs must be worn in the trust</p><p><br></p><p>It is not expectable to wear your uniform outside the of your placement or home base area of work.  You will be shown a private space to change once you arrive.  If you wish to visit a coffee shop outside the hospital you much change out of your uniform before leaving. </p><p><br></p><p>You must carry your Identification Card with you at all times to  show proof of who are and your role.</p><p><br></p><p>Some areas of placements will ask you to wear scrubs , if this is required please ensure you communicate and uniform requirements with the placement prior to placement.</p><p><br></p><p>For infection control purposes failure to follow uniform policy  may result in being asked leave placement until you are able to adhere.</p>]]></description>

I am the Practice Education Nurse Development Nurse   for Student Nurse Associates for Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex Hospital. </p><p><br/></p><p>It is my job to ensure that your placements and your  two year programme goes smoothly. Throughout your placement I will likely visit you on the unit, be at your induction and organise additional learning sessions for you to get involved in.</p><p><br/></p><p>If you have any concerns throughout your placement please make sure you get in contact with me so that we can find solutions together.</p><p><br/></p><p>My working hours:</p><p>Monday - Friday </p><p>8:00-16:00</p><p>Off bank holidays </p><p><br/></p><p>There are some weeks I may work  8:00am - 18:00pm. Cameras register the number plate of the car before entry. Before leaving the hospital, you will need to enter your number plate into one of the pay machines which are located in the entrance of the main building and pay the requested fee. Once the car parking charge for the registered number plate has been paid, the camera at the barrier will automatically recognise the number plate of the car and open the barrier accordingly.</p></li><li><p><strong>Pay and display:</strong> Pay and display spaces are sign-posted around the hospital. A valid ticket must be clearly displayed at all times.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p>Please make sure that you do not park in any of the restricted areas or spaces reserved for staff.</p><p>Car parking charges</p><p>The minimum charge of £2.50 for up to 1 hour.
