My name is Kassidy Dunagan and I am majoring in microbiology. With my degree I plan to go into a biomedical research career. Outside of school I like to rodeo, bake, and do anything outdoors. I am really excited to do some hands on research in this class! The only thing I would be a little nervous about is having time to really gain a deep understanding of the research projects.

Hi! My name is Kimberly and I am majoring in microbiology and expecting to graduate this December. I would like to pursue a career in pharmaceutical research. When I am not in school I am traveling or planning my next trip. I have been to several countries including Japan, South Korea, Peru, Germany and France, to name a few. I also enjoy scuba diving and cooking. I am excited to be engaging in complex research this semester and looking forward to interacting with everyone in the class!

Hi there! My name is Maddelyn Sackuvich and I'm majoring in Microbiology. I would like to pursue a career that is involved in biomedical research, potentially mixing genetics and pharmacology but still figuring it out. My career path is still uncertain but I love working in the lab and learning more about microbes and defenses against host microbes in the immune system. My name is Katie Wiford, and I am working towards a dual degree in microbiology and nutrition. I am anticipated to graduate this coming May. I am currently undecided on what I am going to do after I graduate. I am excited to do more research and hopefully get a better idea of what's next. I am a little nervous about the course load, but I am very excited about all of the new things I'll learn. I had the amazing opportunity to spend last fall semester in Swansea, Wales, and it sparked my passion for traveling. I'm a big reader and love to learn new things about random topics.

Hi! My name is Aileen McGahuey, and I am majoring in Chemistry and Molecular Biology with the hope of becoming a forensic scientist. Outside of school, my hobbies are hiking, swimming, and reading. Additionally, I really enjoy my job as a tutor at the STEP tutoring center, and I love playing clarinet in UW’s marching band. Regarding this class, I am excited for the opportunity to work through the research process, but I am nervous about my own planning and organization skills to complete the assignments in a timely manner.

Hello, my name is Lincoln Taff. I am majoring in microbiology. I hope to pursue a career as a pathologist or medical lab science so i work with microbes and also help cure diseases. I am also interested in genetic engineering of microbes. Outside of school I enjoy camping, hiking, reading, pickleball, and videogames.

Hello everyone! My name is Megan and I am a microbiology major. I am hoping to pursue a masters degree after graduation in May in hopes of maybe one day being a director of a lab or lab coordinator. I am excited to meet everyone and am hoping that this capstone will provide me with better opportunities and give me more practice in presenting and researching. A few thing about me is that I am a major fly fishing enthusiast and I usually spend my free time doing anything outdoors! Happy first day of the semester folks!
