When I first arrived at SLU, the SSN appointment was scheduled for a much later date, which would have affected my contract. Professor Anaka Bart drove four hours to another city to help me obtain my SSN, and I was deeply grateful for her kindness.What moved me the most was that I truly felt the faculty and staff cared about me as a person. In my own family, even my father would never drive four hours just to take me somewhere.

When I went abroad a few years ago, I became cut off from my pre-existing social network, so it became difficult trying to keep myself positive emotionally. I have a elective Predictive modeling in health data science department. I am the only one in the class from Computer science department which makes the class completely unknown to me.
